If we knew Trout would be out for those 7 games, I might have been more positive. But I'm routing to end the season on a 25 game winning streak. 3 in the books, 11 more Regular season. 3 Division series, 4 ALCS and 4 WS.

With the Rangers, Mariners, and the Angels minus Trout and Ohtani, 9-2 is very doable and 11-0 is within reach. If we take care of business, we have an excellent shot of getting home field advantage throughout the post season. I am anxious to see who is left off the post season roster.

I hope Tucker gets a spot (I am pretty sure he will)....I hope Straw and Toro go as well....but I think Marisnick will get it because of experience, so that probably leaves out Straw (rather have him, best PR).....Stubbs will not get the opportunity....pitching wise, jeez, these players I hope do not go: McHugh (injury), Devo, Valdez.... Hitters: C-Chirinos, Maldonado 1B - Gurriel 2B - Altuve SS- Correa 3B - Bregman LF -Brantley CF - Springer RF-Reddick DH - Alvarez Bench: Diaz, Tucker, Marisnick (want Straw), Toro (if not, Straw) Pitchers Verlander, Cole, Greinke, Miley Bullpen Osuna, Pressly, Harris (cross fingers he continues his 2019 form - don't trust him), James, Smith, Rondon (double cross fingers - scares the shit out of me), Peacock (if he can't pitch - Urquidy)

Was shocked that the Yankees lost 2 of 3 to the Jays. Add the fact that NYY plays the Jays and Rays 5 of their last 11...... I kind of like our chances for home field.

Except I don't think we want the A's in the ALDS... Home field winner will play the A's if they win the WC game. Do we want that, or a Twins team that just lost one of their best pitchers for the season...... I for one, still would rather play the A's if it meant playing 4 of 7 @ home in the ALCS.

We should be able to beat both but we've struggled with the A's.

Straw can play OR and IF , if needed. We don't need Diaz, Toro, and Straw. Possibility he could go with three catchers but I doubt it. I agree with your bullpen but I have no confidence in Smith.

I'll take the A's over the Twins if I had a choice. If we have Pressly and Peacock back and if hoochie mama lets Candy Ass play we should be able to beat any of them.

It won't happen, but I think I actually prefer Toro to Diaz on the postseason roster. Toro and Straw for their versatility, imo.

Straw can then be a replacement for Bregman, Altuve, or the OF. Trade Reddick and move Tucker to RF. Yordan can play LF occasionally. Sign Chirinos to another 1-year deal and promote Stubbs to official backup C. Extend Springer and Cole.

Whitley hopefully becomes #5... and Luhnow does his magic and finds another turn around project to be #4...Peacock, primary long inning relief/spot starter.. Urquidy, second long inning relief/spot starter.

It is possible we could get Correa's replacement in the deal we make. If I could, I'd deal him straight up for Lindor.

Packaging Reddick in a deal with Correa makes sense to me if it gets us pitching and an infielder.

And I still don't think it's a bad idea to see if Miley could be brought back on a cost effective deal.

Honestly, with Diaz, Toro, Straw, Bregman, and Gurriel all available to play multiple positions in the infield, I don't think we need another infielder for next year. A Correa deal should be for pitching and/or a catcher. We need a catcher bad.

I think this fixes itself when we realize this fall an insane bidding war starts for Cole. I'd bet money Luhnow realizes that, and his strategy is to shore up the ship.

I'd be more willing to let Cole go if we can get another championship this year.
edit: Although for the record I think Cole is gone no matter what.
