It's good to see the Angels bullpen getting a good mauling today. They are in the 4th inning and already on their 3rd pitcher. Soften em up for the Astros.

Julia said it's warmer today than yesterday Now that they are going home, they should not be talking about Julia being cold. Nobody cares if she's cold.

I thik they only have one entry for both the knuckle and the curve. I'm pretty sure he's throwing regular curves. normally McCullers averages about 86 mph on his knuckle curve and 78 on his curve. Strange that I don't remember anyone saying McCullers throws a knuckle curve. Poor old Jake gets a hit to end his 0-22 and then K's twice after that. Gattis manages a home run.........and Fisher is still fisher.......strikes out and does nothing. Fisher should be sent down and Jake should but I don't expect them to option Jake. Bring up White or Kemp.

Looks like the White Sox have a keeper in Lopez. When he starts to get run support, he won't be very fun to face.

He moves the ball around real well. He never lets the batter keep his eye on the same plane for two pitches in a row without at least changing the speeds substantially. Kind of hard to get a fix on him. He has to get a little better control and then nobody is going to like facing him.

White's not in the Fresno lineup today. Could be a scheduled rest day, or maybe... he's on his way to Houston. Could be. Fisher was lifted after 2 AB. Maybe they think a time share is in order.

Red Sox being shut out again today but only 1-0 through 5. The guy pitching the shutout was in the Astros farm system. We traded him for Scott Kazmir a few years ago

Bring up White or Kemp. That is his claim to fame. I know he throws a great curve with a downward break, but, if I have heard it called a knuckle curve, I forgot it. I remember seeing him show the grip on his curve and I don't recall his knuckle being involved. I am not saying he does not throw one......I just don't remember it being called that.

I understand what everyone's sayin about White and Davis, but the offensive woes right now pertain to the OF. Unless Yuli moves to LF the roster doesn't really accommodate White and Davis

If Kemp comes up, that would make it easy to make a 1-for-1 switch with Fisher.
If White comes up, I guess that would move Marwin primarily to LF where he would split time in the outfield with Marisnick. White would then take over Marwin's infield utility role.
White has played a handful of games in LF with the Astros and Grizzlies but I think Hinch would only use him there in an emergency.

Something I've observed with Luhnow and OFs is they have to make outs at the limit of their range defensively to get a spot. Despite everyone's protests I think Marisnick and Fisher are here to stay

Good grief. Mike Trout just hit his 9th HR.
Correa better pick up the pace if he wants to be the MVP.

I'm surprised teh Angels are using Middleton in a game where they are trailing in the 9th. He already threw 28 pitches yesterday so it would be hard for him to be effective tomorrow in a close game. Angels have used 6 of their 8 relievers tonight after the starter could only finish 2.

Ferguson is starting to get into the mix for the 4th OF spot, but I think they probably want him to get at least 150 ABs at the AAA level before they even think of bringing him up to the big leagues.

When Astros pitching led MLB in spring training with a 3.26 ERA I kind of thought, well, it's spring training and Grapefruit League and everything so really doesn't mean much.
But now that the games mean much, that ERA is down to 2.22. Bring on the Angels.
