Can Fisher go a game without taking strike 3 called? Swing the bat! Gattis takes third called strikes as often or maybe more often than Fisher. Fact is the 9th spot in our order has been an automatic out. |

I love these retro uniforms the Sox are wearing. If only the Astros could have coordinated with them and worn their rainbow jerseys today, it would have been 1982 all over again.

Lopez is much more vulnerable to lefty hitters, so maybe that is why Hinch doesn't want Gurriel there to start the game. With luck though the Astros will be into the bullpen by the 4th or 5th inning. Nice tease there in the 1st.

Lopez is a fly ball pitcher so one of the tricks is to get those fly balls deep enough to leave the yard. Kind of crummy this game falls on Stassi's day to catch since lefties do hit Lopez much better; would rather see McCann at C.

I just noticed if I place the pointer on the ball on gameday, it shows the info. I wish I'd known that before.
