I will be surprised if Tucker and Straw aren't in Milwaukee right now. I also expect Stubbs to be a call up plus some pitching, although I don't see much help available.

Stubbs and Tucker have been out of the lineup for Round Rock the last 2 days. Gotta believe they were in Milwaukee when the ‘stros arrived.

From mlbtr: “Top outfield prospect Kyle Tucker will headline the Astros’ September call-ups, per Jake Kaplan of The Athletic (Twitter links). He’ll be joined by catcher Garrett Stubbs and left-hander Cionel Perez at the big league level today. Infielder/outfielder Myles Straw could be recalled later this week, too, once he’s met the 10-day minimum requirement for an optional assignment.” Straw was optioned to RR on August 27.

Come on Alvarez. Another K. Like I said yesterday, it’s become formulaic with him. He needs to adjust and drive the ball the other way until he can get that timing back.

He’s got great balance and no real obvious flaw in his swing. Nothing really to tweak there. It’s all about approach with him.
If I were him, I would look to drive the ball to left center on 1st pitch. My guess is that the book on him is that he’s basically taking until 1st strike. As long as you don’t throw a fast ball in his wheel house you can pretty much throw anything with a little wrinkle in the zone for a strike. After that it is basically live low and outside. If I were him I would get about an inch closer and starting driving the ball to left/left center. He’s got quick enough hands to turn on something inside.

Good thing for the bobble, not sure if Toro would have made it to second otherwise

Geez, Houser pitched Cole like he was a .300 hitter. All pitches falling on the outside corner for a strike

Why does the Astros offense go into such long slumps? This is getting annoying.

Alvarez has batted twice. Both with 2 runners on and K’d both times.
