Show of hands of the Fugees who thought this thing was winnable after the top of the 2nd?

Show of hands of the Fugees who thought this thing was winnable after the top of the 2nd? One finger, not a whole hand.... I liked when someone said it was their son's first game...even being down big early, it had the makings for a great first game for him to watch, if the Astros came back to win....

Who would’ve thought that we’d win a game where our SP pitched zero innings?

Lmao, y'all still wanting AJ to sit Uncle Mike? Can we change it to Díaz?

Show of hands of the Fugees who thought this thing was winnable after the top of the 2nd? If anyone says they did, they are lying. Lots of great work from the bullpen. (Thank God Brantley hit the home run to keep Devenski off the mound) Josh James appears to have his stuff back and Urquidy even looked good as did Rondon. I admit that I cringed when he brought Smith in. I hope nothing is wrong with Harris. jake drew a big walk to get on base. After our dumbass should have bunted him over, but, struck out.....again.....instead, we got the home run. Altuve did get a clutch triple to drive in a pair. Kyle Tucker was clutch with a home run and a single in the 12th that sent the game to the 13th. The way Miley is looking you have to wonder if he has an inury. Horrible in Toronto and worse today.

James remains undefeated despite the HR. He’s a box of chocolates - an exciting box of chocolates.

Y'all are hilarious acting like you think Altuve can bunt well.

Y'all are hilarious acting like you think Altuve can bunt well. Bunting is extinct in MLB as "astro-turf".

My new pattern:
1. Watch the first or second inning. 2. Get disgusted and turn off the game and go to bed. 3. Wake up 4 hours later. 4. Check Astros, com to confirm the loss only to find out they made a miracle comeback. 5. Check back here for the details.
I wonder why I expected the miracle finishes in 2017 and not now?

Can we change it to Díaz? Right now, I want Toro in the game and not Diaz. I like Toro, I want him to succeed....I want him to do well so Astros can trade Correa ...And not because I don't like Correa, I do....I think Correa, if healthy, is an elite SS, but this team needs to re-sign/extend other players + needs young, high ceiling players at other needed positions (SP and catcher)

I'm guilty of it a lot too, but I'm surprised some people were down on Altuve for that game. He had a very good game overall. 2-6 BB, 2 RBI 2 Runs
And he almost had two other hits. That lineout to left in his 3rd AB was bad luck, and that dribbler down the 1B line was an inch from a single (plus I still think he deserved a walk that AB instead of the K looking).

Lmao, y'all still wanting AJ to sit Uncle Mike? Yep. Still do. The guy is 4-32 in his last 8 games and 2-18 with 4 strikeouts in September. The guy is tired. He has a history of being injury prone in his career. I’m thinking there is a greater likelihood of him injuring himself playing game after game with his body needing a rest. We can’t afford to lose this guy for the postseason. That said, the 2-6 last night with a walkoff, after going 2-26 in his previous 7 games, should should trigger the clipboard to give him a game off tonight.

Brantley needs a day off every 3-4 remaining games, imo. Let Tucker play. Brantley may not like it, but he has to realize that we're in this for the postseason now.

Show of hands of the Fugees who thought this thing was winnable after the top of the 2nd? If anyone says they did, they are lying. It's not a lie to have said the game was winnable back in the 2nd inning. The Mariners are terrible and we have some of the best hitters in baseball on our team
Plus we're on pace to win 100 games this year

I don't give up until the last out is made. This is baseball, you're always in the game.

I wouldn't say I thought it was unwinnable, but I didn't think they would come back. Not so much because of the offense, but I wasn't sure how our ragtag bullpen would do pitching another whole game.

True, the longer you string out a last place teams AAA pen, I would take the odds of pulling it out.
