Maybe this will help fix him for next year. Next year is when we need him.

This could help explain why we got 3 guys for Fisher.

I do too...Aaron Sanchez was one of 1,000 names VD mentioned as possible trade target earlier this year...and he was one I thought would make sense for this team, but I thought we would go after him in the OS, because he is more of a project player.

Even getting Corch in trade for Fisher would have been a good return on value.

I always considered Biagini as the centerpiece for the deal since we needed bullpen help, with Sanchez being a semi- throw-in that would be a project. Biagini hasn't been great, but I still think he has plenty of potential once he gets used to things with the analytics department. Hopefully he can channel some of that 2016 postseason magic for us this postseason...

This could help explain why we got 3 guys for Fisher. I still think it was a good deal. I think so too. I think a lot of Toronto fans thought it was crazy giving up Biagini, Sanchez and a prospect for Fisher. If the FO of both teams were aware of this potential issue with Sanchez, the 3 for 1 makes a little more sense.

Have you paid any attention to him?

Even getting Corch in trade for Fisher would have been a good return on value. as long as you stop trying to dump the best defensive OF on the team, I'm happy. Getting three guys fpr Fisher, who was never going to be in our plans, was a steal for Luhnow. Biagini is an adequate middle reliever amd Sanchez can be a part of our rotation once healthy and spends time working with Strom. If the minor leaguer outfielder has any promise that is another plus for us. We stole three guys for Fisher just like we stole Osuna for Giles last year.

They saw something in him they can fix and I want to see how it works out.

I mostly agree, but I wouldn't rush to saying we won the Giles-Osuna swap. Let's see how Osuna does in the postseason this year first, because, so far, Giles has been better than Osuna in the regular season since that swap. And Osuna was pretty bad in the postseason last year too (limited appearances).

First Sanchez. Now this from MLBTR:
“Sept. 5: Guduan has been placed on release waivers, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic tweets. He’ll become a free agent if he goes unclaimed.”

Deetz made fun of his not being able to throw a strike. Guduan threw something at Deetz (and missed) so Deetz said "see what I mean?" or something. Guduan hit either Deetz or a coach (heard both from different people) in the head with a bat and got kicked out of the clubhouse. He came back later, with a knife, and stood staring at Deetz while holding the knife in his hand.
