Altuve with the patienxe. OK who had the skull session with Jose. lol He does this now and then when he tries hard to work walks, but then he strikes out a couple times or hits a HR and he goes back to swinging more.

Its no secret his hitting style and approach have changed from those 100 loss seasons. I can still remember when the Stros cleaned house during those down years, and they were pushing for Jose to be the face of the franchise. Thinking yes, a punch and judy hitter being the face of the Stros.

I was happy with Altuve after he won his 1st batting title. I don't remember an Astro ever winning a batting title

I was happy with Altuve after he won his 1st batting title. I don't remember an Astro ever winning a batting title Alou would’ve won if he didn’t have to compete with a Coors Field hitter.

I was happy with Altuve after he won his 1st batting title. I don't remember an Astro ever winning a batting title Some hitters that you would think they had earlier could win a title would be Puhl, Cruz and I like the stroke of Cabell who could play around .300. Union's call of Alou would be another player.

I know Stassi wasn't getting the job done, but Maldonado still doesn't impress me. I'd like to see more of Stubbs.

I'm liking Toro's defense. The GM's gonna need to decide if he's gonna start or be a Marwin/Jake type

I know Stassi wasn't getting the job done, but Maldonado still doesn't impress me. I'd like to see more of Stubbs. At some point, you’ve got to wonder if the pitchers really care about keeping runners honest because it seems like none of our catchers ever seem to stop stolen bases.
