With his continued arm soreness McHugh has been shutdown and likely won't be back in an Astros uniform this year. I guess he could come back as a free agent in the offseason, but I doubt it.
We picked him up 6 years ago off of waivers, and, while he has had some health issues the last few years, overall he has done a very good job. He did some solid work as a starter for a few years and he was an even better reliever last year (arguably should have been an AS). As an Astro:
6 Seasons 195 Games/110 Starts/26 Games Finished 58-35 3.63 ERA (110 ERA+) 1.219 WHIP
From a WAR standpoint he was never a below average player for us any of his seasons for what that's worth to people.
Postseason Stats:
2-1 3.60 ERA .850 WHIP
A seemingly good guy that did whatever was asked of him. I wish him the best.

Up to Peacock and James to be the guys that just get the job done, but no one really takes notice.... Much to my surprise - Wil Harris has been that unsung hero this year (still don't trust him)....and overall hitting/defense wise I give that to Chirinos.

In 2015 the front office didn't think we'd be contenders so quickly, and realized they needed to stretch out the pitching staff with a couple of desperate trades before the deadline
McHugh tossed 200 innings and won 19 games that year. Really stepped up for us while reinforcements were on the way

Unfortunately for McHugh, I don't see him getting a lot of great offers this offseason. I think he could get a guaranteed contract but it won't be for much money or on a great team. Not until he can prove he can be healthy again (while also being effective).

I won’t forget what McHugh has done for the team, and I wish him well. He set the tone for what should’ve been an ALDS win against KC with an admirable Game 1 start. He came through when they needed him, and I’m glad he got a ring out of it. Good luck to him.

I wish McHugh well and he had some good games for us. However, there should be no room for him on our roster next season......same for Devenski.

I misspelled appreciation.... You were so proud of yourself for those two L’s in Collin that you muffed up a real word.
