Cleveland is making the AL wild card race interesting. I wouldn’t mind seeing Cleveland make the play-in game and win it. I would rather play Cleveland than either Oakland or Tampa Bay in the ALDS. Seems like the Rays have always given us a tough time of it.., even in their non-contending years. Oakland has been tough on us lately.

I’m rooting for Cleveland because we are terrible at that lame park in Tampa.

I’m rooting for Cleveland because we are terrible at that lame park in Tampa. The Rays are the last team I want to play in the ALDS. I can see the Twins having a shot at the Yankees now that it looks like German is out of the picture.

His teammates love him! you sure do talk a lot about a guy you call the "worst player in baseball". The man is a gold glove caliber outfielder if he never gets another hit in his career.

I like Moms take of looking at the good side of all our players until they're not our players.

Even by old fart standards, our record is impressive because it was done in less than 154 games.

I'm really hoping we get to the 108 mark just because it means we won 2/3rds of our games.

With the quality of teams we have left to play, we should still win fairly easily playing our rookies. On paper, anyways. There's no reason to NOT rest the veterans every other game or so. Especially Brantley, Springer, Yuli, and Altuve.
Chirinos will get enough time off already, Correa needs to get his timing back, and Bregman is in an MVP race.

We didn't care about your boys, Fat ass White and useless Stassi, but you kept telling us we needed them.........Where are they now? I told you we needed Jake and he would be with us the rest of the season. Where is Jake? You care about useless garbage who do nothing to help the team and I care about keeping the best defensive outfielder we have.

His teammates love him! We have all seen the many run-saving plays he made in 2016 and every year since. Go tell Verlander that Jake is the worst player in baseball and see what he tells you. Tell his teammates that he is useless......all would laugh in your face.

I didn't say we needed them, I said we shouldn't give up depth if we didn't have to. I'm just not going to throw away cheap controllable players without better options, especially when those players had demonstrated some success in the past. Once we had better options it was time to move on. You don't seem to understand the business side of baseball. You have to find value where you can. Tossing away anybody that slumps and buying an expensive free agent or trading the farm for rentals is what got us into the rebuilding years we suffered through before. It's the same with Jake. He has had value for what we needed while he has been cheap. Now we have a better option with Straw so it will be time to let Jake go soon.

Trading Correa when his value is low just cause we're pissed at him isn't very sound business either

Trading Correa when his value is low just cause we're pissed at him isn't very sound business either Yup. It's only worth it if he has a strong postseason and gets some of that value back.

They might need to trade Correa for some pitching if Cole doesn’t return.

Correa needs a huge playoff run...like epic... Of course, if he manages that do we want to still give him up? Yes, kind of have to....team salary dictates it, as well as his often injured past.....so, he goes nuts in the playoffs and a NL team with top pitching and catching prospect (s), as well as OF prospect that Luhnow likes more than the other team values wants Correa to play SS or 3B....I make that trade all day long.. Hopefully, Reddick continues his hot streak into the playoffs, so he can be traded as well.. I like both players, if there was not a luxury cap and if the Astros didn't have other needs, I would be for keeping them....but Astros need to put all the money they can to re-signing Cole and extending Springer (maybe have to wait until the 2020-2021 OS)....and whatever money is left over to re-signing Chirinos..... I like Olpapa's suggestion of Tanielu replacing Diaz, to free up more money. Straw replaces Marisnick. Stubbs takes over for Maldonado Arbitration players to tender are Osuna, Peacock and McCullers..... Whitley should be a #4 or #5 by next year's end....and hopefully Javier, Bielak, Abreu are somewhere in the rotation (spot starters) or bullpen next year as well...And who knows for Urquidy, the underdog....

I’ve been watching highlights of Reddick’s poor hitting in the postseason. Let’s not write off Tucker just yet.

For the good of the organization, we have to get rid of Correa and his "issues"...........Someone will give us value for him, especially if it's an LA or NY team. Those are the locations hoochie mama is leading him with the ring she has in his nose. He has worn out his welcome with a majority of fans. I am sure many Hispanic fans won't like it if we trade him, but, it has to be done. None of the other players will say it, but, most of them are tired of this slacker and seeing him paid to sit on his ass.
