I'd also trade some of these 1-4 games with a HR that Altuve has been doing with some more multi-hit and BB games. In a world of power guys, it was fun having a .330+ guy.

I'd also trade some of these 1-4 games with a HR that Altuve has been doing with some more multi-hit and BB games. In a world of power guys, it was fun having a .330+ guy. If he would consider taking pitches......especially those out of the zone.....he'd draw more walks which should lead to more runs scored. He would have more multi-hit games if he would use the whole field instead of trying to pull everything. He doesn't seem inclined to or capable of doing either. |

The one thing that we missed with Correa is the flexibility to plug in other players. Tonight, Straw and Tucker see action.

Kimbrel gave up 2 homers in the 9th on the first 2 pitches of the inning. Cubs lose 9-8🤣 Kimbrel shows why it took the league so long to sign him (besides the draft pick possibility). He had a great August but has killed any chance of the Cubs going to the playoffs over his last 3 games. |
