If I read an actual newspaper and saw that Harden and Morey won those awards, I’d have assumed that the Rockets surely won a championship so I get how hollow you feel the accolades are with those guys.

I'm happy he won. I would like it better if we had won the championship, but at least he's finally gotten the MVP. Ready for next season. |

Carol Burnett Show episodes are on DVD now. I saw one where she recognized Anthony Hopkins in her audience .. this was years before he became the Hollywood actor he's known as today

I haven't been watching the Rockets very much but I did notice that Harden is having a heck of a year again. 32 points per game and 8 assists. That's got to be MVP-consideration worthy.

It’s hard for me to get excited about Harden after Games 6 and 7 in the WCF last year. That was the time for him to step up, shut up the haters, and carry the team to the Finals and he fell short. This year’s team is not as good so it’s all kind of dull. It’s not like with the Astros where even when they were bad, you had Altuve chasing batting titles, Keuchel winning the Cy Young, and the emergence of young stars like Springer, Correa, and Bregman. You had Rasmus selling his soul to the Devil for 2015. In basketball, you throw up a ball. If it goes in, you proclaim god status. If it doesn’t, you don’t want to talk to the media. I miss the way it used to be: PG sets up shots, SG makes shots, F is the intermediary between the others and C, and the C was a multidimensional offensive player who created low post shots. Now, it’s four guys who can’t wait to chuck up some 3’s and a C who is some big dummy who blocks, rebounds, and catches dunk passes. |

Although I would still enjoy watching another Finals with the Rockets in it. It's fun for the city. |
