I don’t think the hate for Keuchel is THAT strong. Fiers was on a whole other level of suck. That's the point I'm making. It's more about Keuchel being the designated punching bag than the forum turning against him. Fiers was an example of someone whose outings were frustrating to watch despite the board pretty much being against him from day oneWith Keuchel, we were pleasantly surprised in 2014, amazed by and ecstatic with him in 2015, and since then it’s been kind of above average but unspectacular with mixes of meltdown and great games. What people would like to see more from him are his usual Yankees outings where he perplexes and dominates a team. Yesterday’s type of outings are becoming more and more common, which is disturbing to see from a former CYA winner.

I see in the game last night between the Yankees and Angels that Ohtani turned his ankle on first base trying to beat out a ground ball to second. Another reason why his quest of going two ways is going to expose his chances of injuries. A nice story, but do they want to win a pennant or just make History.

It will be interesting, because his next start will be against the Yankees, though their lineup will be featuring a few players from the cast that he dominated. Dallas will be facing two rookies, also see if he will get the big boys chasing.

It was the FIERS arm tattoo that turned me against Fiers.

The word FIERS in huge letters down his forearm. Most douchebag tattoo I'd ever seen.

Maybe it’s like the movie Memento. He needs the tattoo so he can remember.

I'm wondering if the streakiness from the individual starters on the staff is simply concentrating on not tipping their pitches. Someone interviewed Strom during the offseason and he admitted everyone on the staff was doing it. McCullers for example, I can't remember the last time he strung together three starts in a row like this I didn't like Fiers cause he was a flake who couldn't concentrate on what he was doing when he toed the rubber. Miraculously getting him to string to together some solid starts last summer when we needed them cause guys were on the DL is still my favorite thing Strom and AJ were able to pull off last season

With Fiers, all he needed to do was control that curveball. Once he did, that slow fastball high in the zone was an easy strikeout pitch. I can’t totally hate Fiers because he did have that awesome no-no against the Dodgers. Striking out that pesky Turner was the icing on the cake. In fact, all they did was annoy the Dodgers that whole series. It was perfect.

I assumed 500 increments since that was the first one.

Keuchel is fine. If he's our worst pitcher at a 4.00 ERA, we have nothing to worry about with the pitching.

Kinda glad I've got relatives in town this weekend and can't watch any of the games. A's have won 9 of 13 and their lineup can rake. I don't have a good feelin bout this series All you’ve got to do is believe in yourself that your GDT will bring good luck.

Sure, but even now is fine. He's giving us good innings. If we could get him a little bit of support earlier I bet he would do even better.

Cole is the one getting screwed on run support more consistently even though he didn’t get a CGL like Keuchel.

Cole is the one getting screwed on run support more consistently even though he didn’t get a CGL like Keuchel. Sure, Cole should be 6-0. But Keuchel should be 4-2 himself.
