From the Network that brought you Matt Lauer....... mlb.nbcsports.com/2019/10/21/report-astros-assistant-gm-yelled-thank-god-we-got-osuna-at-female-reporters/NBC Sports was also the one specific media culprit who kept forcing the Osuna trade and domestic abuse issue last year. Just so that they could start more shit, they have slanted a confrontation between an Assistant GM, and some questionable members of the media. Some of the statements in this article is downright slanderous toward the team I hope Luhnow and team take legal recourse. And remember... I was one of the most critical at the time of the Osuna trade. But now as far as I am concerned, the issue is behind him. But leave it to mf ing trash reporting like these low lifes to try to throw a distration wrench into our successful season. I hate these sons of bitches.

"Taubman’s behavior is not the first strike for the Astros on this issue. Acquiring Osuna was strike one. Luhnow’s statement and the club’s subsequent statement were strikes two and three. Osuna’s backlash was strike four, Pressly’s defense of him was strike five, and the whole issue over the DV hotline sign was strike six."
According to the above paragraph in the article, it's obvious that the reporter knows nothing on how baseball works. There's no STRIKE FOUR!

It was brought up now to stir shit before the WS and try to cause problems for Osuna and the Astros. I am one who supported the trade from the beginning.....mainly because it let us get rid of a nut job like Giles. I said at the time that there was no evidence against Osuna or Luhnow would not have made the trade. We are the big winnner in that deal. Luhnow stole him for the Blue jays and stole Alvarez from the Dodgers.

If NBC Sports is trying to distract the Astros and hurt their chances of winning the WS with this article, they don’t know our team. No doubt in my mind that our guys have addressed this issue with Osuna in private... as it should have been done (rather than through the media) ..., and have put it behind them and accepted him as their teammate. This will backfire on NBC Sports. If anything, it will make our team stronger.

Looks like up to the minute info shows that SI is a co-conspirator, and the actual initial perpertrator of this ruse. Here is a SN (Aurthur Weinstein) snipit of the Astros response...... The Astros' statement said the team was "extremely disappointed" in SI's "attempt to fabricate a story." It suggested that Taubman was legitimately showing support for Osuna, who had yielded a game-tying, two-run homer in the top of the ninth. "The story posted by Sports Illustrated is misleading and completely irresponsible," the statement reads. "An Astros player was being asked about a difficult outing. Our executive was supporting the player during a difficult time. His comments had everything to do about the game situation that just occurred and nothing else — they were also not directed toward any specific reporters. We are extremely disappointed in Sports Illustrated's attempt to fabricate a story where one does not exist."Remember last year when the media started fabricating cheating stories during the BoSox ALCS. Again, under the circumstance of distracting the team? 99% of Mainstream Media is f'n garbage. I hope they all burn in hell. And Marshall is right, the ultra radical penis-less foam frothing feminazi faction will cheat, lie, steal, and kill to further their cause. This is a sterling example.

And Marshall is right, the ultra radical penis-less foam frothing feminazi faction will cheat, lie, steal, and kill to further their cause. This is a sterling example. I find it extremely curious that the progressives of both parties want to fundamentally change the United States. Here everyone is innocent until PROVEN guilty as determined by a jury of their peers. Osuna, even though it did not happen in the US it was Canada, was never tried or convicted. The alleged victim wanted to go back to Mexico with their child and an agreement of support. Osuna did not want her to leave with his child but given the charges agreed to let her go and take the child. So it is just as easy to say that the charges were fabricated in order for her to get her way. No trial, no way or knowing anything for certain, so move on. What is different in this circumstance than the Astros Assistant GM answering the question if asked by asking the reporter if he still looks at s&m videos to get off. These folks have to learn that there is a limit to what conservatives will tolerate without starting to fight back against slander and start to give it back as it is given.

This is the problem I have with the whole thing: did Taubman have to say anything? You’re going to have backlash over getting Osuna, that’s par for the course. As a member of the organization, if you keep your cool, this issue doesn’t happen.

I'm not surprised. If you bring on a wifebeater (or anybody with a shady reputation), you're going to get stuff like this. I'm sure the Astros FO will handle it.

Modern media, and Dan Rather as an example has become extremely adept at fabricating issues from "non-issues"

I trust Luhnow, as he is the best at what he does. The problem is not as much an issue of damage control, but of these pukes trying to distract the team.

When 50 reporters are yelling Osuna questions at every player at once versus things baseball related? Impossible not to distract in some form or fashion.

I hope Luhnow precludes press conferences with a statement saying No non-baseball related quesitons will be fielded.
Nip this shit in the bud.

I read that article. Despite the facts of the case not being public and the "star witness" declining to testify, Osuna has been convicted by the press. He stood by ready to defend himself and his accuser did not show up. He may be guilty as hell or it may be a frame job or something in-between; we don't really know. But rumor and innuendo seem enough to convict people these days, as the reporter "ominously" mentions that "we won't forget". Forget what? That the man has never been convicted or even tried for anything?

What's more interesting to me, is that a Houston Chronicle reporter supposedly confirmed the SI account and batted against the Astros. That's a good way to not get your local team to want to speak with you...

I'm surprised that you continue this narrative. Aren't/weren't you in law enforcement? Do you believe in innocence until proven guilty? If so, why keep labeling the man in absence of proof?

I love baseball, but detest the pukes who infuse their SJW or politcal ulterial motives to pollute the game.

All evidence against this narrative is always due to misogyny and sexism. It's actually the Feminazzi's own version of misogyny and sexism. In most cases such as the one in which Osuna was involved, it was created by an jealous, gold-digging bitch who brings false charges against the athlete in an attempt to extort money from him. This crap against Osuna has all the symptoms of just that.......a lying bitch after money. When absolutely no evidence could be dug up, she decides to save face and drop the whole thing. The athlete's reputation is tarnished by the media.....in this case it's NBC Sports. Some people will buy into the nonsense and label the athlete zs a "wife beater".

Were there any reports that this Taubman guy was consistently provoked by the women, or was he just in Crazy Drunkard mode? Also, if they were on Osuna’s case, why didn’t they pay a visit to Aroldis next door?
