Yeah I don't understand the reason for Pence unless we're working on a trade and/or we have a health concern.
He could probably still be a solid contributor (that isn't the point), but I don't think he would be much better (if at all) than what we already have available.

If we can get a prospect for Reddick and get rid of his salary that opens a spot for Pence who would give us better numbers than we got from Reddick. We won't get much for Josh. I liked him when we had him and would like to see him back.

Trading Reddick frees up RF for Tucker and then you still have Straw as a 4th OFer filling Jake's old role. Unless you think Tucker is only capable of a platoon situation.

I hope this means we are working on a trade. Reddick is way too expensive for a 4th outfielder and there is no reason to waste another year of Tucker’s career or the career of Straw waiting for Reddick’s contract to expire.

He didn't have a hoochie mama breaking his ris while he lied out his ass to cover it up. I like guys with class and character and that describes Pence. He has always given 100% and the Astros should have never let him go in the first place. Signing him would be a popular move.

Why would signing Pence mean less time for Tucker? Tucker should be the starter with Pence a bench player. We have no idea if Straw can hit enough to stick and Pence is good protection in case of that and if we have injuries. We don't know that it isn't a minor league deal they are offering. In any case, he would be a good addition.

That is what I think they are trying to do....get rid of Reddick's salary and replace him with Pence, who put up better numbers last year and won't cost nearly as much.

You even did it to Mike Trout. Why is Pence's 2/3 of his career on the DL ok, but other guys get dumped on by you for being injured? Are you inconsistent about every single issue?

Pence is a Spot Starter slash 4th guy. Reddick has to go. Tucker should be givin the same chance Bregman had.
With that said Im watch Mookie deal. Hoping the Dodgers get him. Opening a door for the Astros to dump off Reddick to the Padres. Not saying itll happen just saying it would work. Add some cash get a prospect and move on. Not even asking for a top 8 prospect but a 9 threw 15 isnt bad for a salary dump and playing time for a guy who needs to start

You haven't noticed that Trout's injuries occur right after the Angels are eliminated from Contention......That is when it happens, I call it like I see it.......I gave you credit for being intelligent enough to see through Correa's crap....I guess I was wrong. I always liked Pence because of his hustle and the way he swings the bat. He has been part of WS winners in San Francisco and knows how to win. He is what we need in a bench player......someone who can come off the bench and hit the ball out of the park.

The whole difference in this scenario is that, by your own admission, you "always liked Pence", so it protects him from the judgement that you sling at the players you haven't "always liked", like Correa. Pence has spent more time on the DL than you've spent in the hospital with your Charcot joint, but for some reason you don't have any issue with that.

The Padres are the Perfect landing spot for Reddick been saying in for a week. Since they tked about the Betts trade. I think we would have to pay so.e cash but we could def get a decent not top prospect
