So far, all we see about the Astros are "allegations"........Mike Fiers said blah blah blah......an email (that could have been edited) said blah blah blah............nothing has been proven. My team hasn't been found culpable of any sketchy activity. Until real proof is shown, I will continue to defend them. This has gotten absolutely ridiculous. Today is the first day in over a week that I haven't received any news from Yahoo accusing them of cheating. Hoping this witch hunt will end soon. You didn’t think an email by the assistant GM to his scouts basically telling them to use electronics to keep an eye on other teams isn’t sketchy? We are talking about Corch here. The same guy that can overlook his favorite player's shittiness because he makes some semi-highlight catch twice a season. What do you think he will do for his favorite team that has won a recent WS? What Todd said is why I’m disappointed in the fan base. We all talk about those guys being cheaters and that guy did steroids or he did HGH (OMFG Patriots cheaters!), but when it’s our team found culpable of sketchy activity, we all throw ethics out the window. My team hasn't been found culpable of any sketchy activity. Until real proof is shown, I will continue to defend them. This has gotten absolutely ridiculous. If there is nothing but Fiers' statement and an email that comes up, I won't lose any sleep over it. But, I just think there is steadily more and more little tidbits of information coming out that we will find out that some type of scheme was in place. That's just my personal opinion on how it looks. Too much smoke to not be at least a small fire. But, they can't be held accountable if it's really nothing but smoke. And for the record, I'm hoping it's just a small fire that isn't a big deal. We pay $2 million and lose one draft pick, and MLB wags their finger and says don't do it again. But that is the best case scenario at this point, imo. I'm concerned that it isn't a small fire. And if that's true, punish us enough that we feel it and can move on the right way. |

If, as the rumors say, Beltran and Cora were the main instigators of the cheating scheme...would you think they'll suspend them now that they're managing other teams? I would think there should be some kind of ramifications to boyh those players. Its not the first time for Cora. But with the ways things look Beltran and Cora should get equal punishment if they are in fact implicated and are the ones who pushed it. |

I think Nate is right we're gonna lose draft picks This is one of the reasons i think we need to try and get some young guys from a couple of trades. We are gonna hurt in a couple of years. And if and I say if they do some kind of no draft compensation if you of the current players on our roster leaves the team regardles of the player. Then we would be really screwed. Js. The way this is playing out its like we are gonna get more then a slap on the wrist. We are gonna get atleast a Black eye or two |
