I guarantee that the Nats don't win against Cole and Verlander again. At worst we are going to a game #7

With the win today, the Astros lost their Road-Field advanatage. Hopefully they can break through and win at the Nationals friendly confines of MMP

Cole needs to pitch for that huge contract tonight. Cole just needs to have his high strike release point working. He battled without it, but he needs it against the best pitchers to pull out the 0 or 1 run allowed wins. That one sets up his other pitches.

I am sure Cole will not work Soto the same way he did in game one and he and Strom have made adjustments. He has something to prove and I think he proves it. We need to get early runs and put more pressure on the Nats than they already feel.

If that isn't enough incentive.....

I'm calling a Yuli bomb or 2 for tonight. He missed his opportunity last night by having a shaky night at the plate...he makes up for it tonight.

I think this will be a 1-1 game into the 6th. We break into their pen in the sixth and they break into ours in the 7th. Whichever team's bullpen holds up wins the game.

AJ just told Mad Dog Russo that Yordan is starting in LF tonight with Brantley moving to right because Yordan had good at bats against Sherzer in game one.

AJ just told Mad Dog Russo that Yordan is starting in LF tonight with Brantley moving to right because Yordan had good at bats against Sherzer in game one. I heard that, crazy. Hinch also said he pulled Urquidy so he may use him again for game #6 or #7.
I wish Hinch wouldn't have said game #7 as I don't want the Nats to prepare for him.

I give us a good chance of ending it in game 6. If we get to game 7, Greinke, Urquidy, and everyone is probably available except Verlander.

I figured that’s what it was with Urquidy. Pulled him for Josh James😩

I really hate these talking heads that make bold predictions and then have to stand by their statements by being dumb about it.
Plesac said "This series ain't coming back to Houston" Now that it is he's like "I still believe in the Nats"

I want to see Cole put everything out there and pitch around 8 innings.
Even if Houston has an early lead in the 5th or 6th, I don't want our bullpen to come in and give the Nats more chances to see them.
Pitch Cole as if this is his last game of 2019 and try to get the World Series ring by game #6

Pitch Cole as if this is his last game of 2019 and try to get the World Series ring by game #6 At this point, there is no reason not to extend pitchers until they are losing it. They have all winter to recover. Why not 140 pitches if you're effective?
