3 or 4 years isn't exactly a quick hook, son. If reports can be believed, we could have had Yelich, but Luhnow refused to give up Tucker or Whitley. I wish we could have that one back. Corch doesn't want Yelich because he posed for nekkid pick shures along with DK.

I never thought that Tucker would be the next Ted Williams. I did however think that he would be a more powerful Reddick. I have had him pegged as a 270/340/850 type guy who pays a slightly plus right field. Not a bad guy to have on your team but also not a guy to build a team around. Now Yelich, well he is the one that gets paid to take nekkid pickturs.

Corch's quick hook is rubbing off on you. 3 or 4 years isn't exactly a quick hook, son. He has been hitting in the majors for 3 to 4 years now? And 2020 ST is over already? My bad, you're right.

When they signed Garneau I think they were concerned they wouldn't be able to get/afford a better option. This from Cots on Garneau’s contract: “Dustin Garneau c 1 year/$650,000 (2020) 1 year/$650,000 (2020) signed by Houston as a free agent 11/27/19 (split contract, $300,000 in minors, $100,000 guarantee)” Does this mean that only $100,000 of Garneau’s contract is guaranteed? That's what it sounds like to me. Although even if they owed him the full $650K that isn't that much to eat if they wanted Stubbs to be the backup.

Even in the minors, he spends half a season sucking followed by half a season doing fairly well. Then he's brought up to the ML team where he goes back to sucking.

They need to get Tucker out of his own head. Tell him that RF is his. Bat him 8th or 9th. And let him play without stress for a while.

I wonder how hard they tried to trade Reddick. With everything going on this offseason, I bet it ended up being pretty low priority. Who knows if Click is trying to wrestle with that move now also. Worst case scenario it's only one more season. Click will have an interesting offseason next year trying to fill holes.

Eventually no one will want Tucker in the starting lineup if he can't hit the side of a barn

Urquidy sure looked good today. ANybody else thinks he has a realistic shot at 150 IP and a sub-4.00 ERA if he makes the rotation?

A competent hitting coach would have fixed that swing or been caught trying. Not to worry. The geek squad in analytics will develop a computer program to fix him. They'll download BombsAway™ software directly into his cerebral cortex. Minus the trashcan subroutine.

And James continues to have a real nice ST. I'd love to see him make the rotation and get a chance.

Stubbs threw out the only runner attempting to steal on him today. If my count is right, he has thrown out 3 of 3 runners attempting to steal on him this spring. On the other hand, he has stolen 2 bases and has not been thrown out attempting to steal. At the plate he is 5-7 with a home run, has walked 3 times and struck out just once. If he keeps it up, it is going to be hard to justify not having him on the OD roster.

If he stays healthy and doesn’t implode over the next three weeks, Abreu has got to make the OD roster.

I wondered why they signed Garneau when we had Stubbs. Stubbs should be the backup catcher. From what I have seen. I am not sure I would not take Tanileu over Toro. Abreu needs to make the staff.
