Stubbs threw out the only runner attempting to steal on him today. If my count is right, he has thrown out 3 of 3 runners attempting to steal on him this spring. On the other hand, he has stolen 2 bases and has not been thrown out attempting to steal. At the plate he is 5-7 with a home run, has walked 3 times and struck out just once. If he keeps it up, it is going to be hard to justify not having him on the OD roster. How's Mark Gastineau doing...er, I mean...uh

What I want to know is: Which teams used the doctored balls and when are we going to be informed of their punishment for cheating?

What I want to know is: Which teams used the doctored balls and when are we going to be informed of their punishment for cheating? Yup. Obviously they should be suspended and any accolades taken away from them and possibly their teams. If the outrage is going to be consistent, that is. Plus they deserve to be drilled whenever they come to bat.

While I don't have anything against Cole at all, it would be a little amusing to see him struggle as a Yankee after they gave him that massive contract.

I’m glad to see Dean Deetz among the players who were sent to minor league camp. I’m thinking this increases the chances of the younger.., more deserving..., players like Abreu making the opening day roster.

If I were picking the opening day roster for the Astros right now, this would be it:
Pitchers: Abreu Devenski Greinke James Osuna Pressley Valdez Verlander Pruit Urquidy Smith McCullers Verlander
Catchers: Stubbs Maldanado
Infielders: Gurriel Altuve Correa Bregman Diaz
Outfielders: Brantley Springer Reddick Straw Tucker
Designated Hitter: Alvarez

Right now I think a 40-man roster spot are being wasted on Emanuel,

What is encouraging is the way the young guys have pitched. Also Devenski, did he suddenly figure stuff out or is this just smoke and mirrors. I guess Bagini's tenure will be short lived.

His ST has been weak, but he's only a year removed from a dominant 5-year run.

The only argument I have is with Devenski. He will have to prove to me that he isn't useless. i would love to see a healthy Peacock. When I've see Hughes on the TV games, he has looked terrible.
