I like how around here we hate Mookie Betts and defend Roberto Osuna. I defend Osuna for two reasons..........one, he is an Astro. Two, trading for him allowed us to get rid of Ken Giles. Mookie Betts is a piece of shit who disrespects our flag and country. He can go straight to hell. Osuna is a saint compared to Betts.

Just acknowledge that we don't know because both cases cited happen often. But paying for it to go away happens regardless of the truth.
ps. Now days, suspensions and fines happen with unproven accusations all the time.
I know one is far more likely than the other based on the information we have. Those that want to bury their heads in the sand are welcome to. I won't. You already have.

All I can is yikes to some of these comments and thought processes. I agree...Once they're your own team, then you give them way more benefit than the doubt.....Hey Logic, Look at that Window! I am surprised some of the most defiant here are not proposing the Astros did not cheat in 2017....Despite the, Evidence, Firings and Penalties; well, we still have our ring, so we must have not cheated! Those bitches: Manfred, Fiers, Yankees, and Dodgers, were just paid off. We still have the Trophy, so obviously: Not Guilty!

"We are confident that Osuna is remorseful, has willfully complied with all consequences related to his past behavior, has proactively engaged in counseling, and will fully comply with our zero tolerance policy related to abuse of any kind.+ - Luhnow Why is he remorseful if he's innocent? MLB conducted its own investigation and ultimately suspended Osuna for 75 games for violating the league's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. In handing down the suspension, Commissioner Manfred stated as follows: "Having reviewed all of the available evidence, I have concluded that Mr. Osuna violated the Policy and should be subject to discipline in the form of an unpaid suspension that will expire on August 4th." MLB suspended him based on the information they had. Would they risk that if they didn't have a strong case? If he was innocent, why didn't Osuna appeal it?The fact that he likely reached a monetary agreement with the mother of his kid so that she wouldn't fly back to Canada to testify against him, doesn't mean he is innocent. And supporting Osuna and then saying Mookie Betts is a scumbag because he non-violently promotes his opinion doesn't make a lick of sense. I don't care for Betts either, but attacking women is worse than non-violently protesting. *shrug* Doesn't matter now. Osuna will likely not pitch for the Astros again. And I'm totally fine with that.

But, you can't make excuses and believe that your team is more moral than others just because it's your team. (I'm not saying I want a team full of assholes and criminals.)

I don't want ANY player who disrespects the flag and our country...........I also don't like managers who seem to always have on a BLACK LIVES MATTER shirt whenever they are interviewed on camera. Baker can be glad I'm not Crane because i'd have fired his ass the first time I saw him wearing that damn shirt on camera.

If you don't want to support a team with players or coaches that have conflicting viewpoints from your own, you might as well not watch any sports. Or movies. Or shows. Or read books. Or leave your house.

I never said I won't support a team who has some players that may have differing viewpoints. It would be nice to know just how many people who are wearing these damn BLM shirts actually support their agenda or just wear them to go along with the crowd and avoid being ridiculed. Take a good look at the ratings drop for the NFL and NBA. if things stay as they are, baseball will follow them. Nothing I would like more than to see the NFL and NBA both go belly up so those enttiled thugs would have to get real jobs. l I fully understand why OlPapa took the stand he did. Since I am prevented from doing a lot of the things I'd like to do due to my health problems, I enjoy watching sports and won't stop watching the Astros I've followed them since the beginning in 1962. No doubt that college football is in danger of not having a 3030 season. We can take comfort in knowing this nonsense will be over after the November election.

This stuff we are seeing in the streets of major cities on a nearly nightly basis is more than "social change"......it is criminal acts being committed all under the disguise of "peaceful protest" BLM and Anfita are essentially calling for the overthrow of the government and getting rid of law enforcement. Idiots like Sylvester Turner in Houston, Beetlejuice in Chicago, Deblasio in NY, etc. are all sitting on their asses whining, doing nothing, and blaming it on Trump. If this crap is "here to stay" we can kiss this country and our freedom good-bye. If Biden win the election, we are all in deep shit.

Fifty years ago you were saying the same shit about having to share a water fountain and your kids' classrooms. Your moral outrage isn't new and isn't very well hidden by you trying to soften the words. Now it's shirts and kneeling...back then it was bus seats and lunchroom counters.
