5-4
TBD vs. Bumgarner
Well it hasn't been pretty, but we've managed to stay in 1st place in the division thus far. And while most of us have been complaining about the offense, we're actually leading the AL in Runs Scored. We still need to see a lot more from Altuve and a couple others, but it seems like we're starting to see some things improve. And the rotation is still a huge mess, but our young pitchers are actually doing pretty well. Our worst pitchers so far are actually our veterans (outside of JV).

I only complain because our team is scared to bunt the baseball. I hope the hitting coach makes them bunt everyday before the game.

If we go to extras again this season, I have a solution. Pinch hit using Greinke. I guarantee you he knows how to lay one down.

He also HAS 47 CAREER SAC. BUNTS!

I keep telling you guys, analytics has shown that the bunt is a statistical loser and now is not worth the out. The eggheads in baseball have spoken, so you might as well quit longing for the bunt. It's dead.

Javier gets the start. Hopefully he can repeat his performance from the Dodgers game.

And I have a good feeling about Altuve today. I predict a 3-hit game for him.

I will probably get on later tonight. I am preparing a feast for my family on my blackstone. My dad's cancer came back and he is to start chemo tomorrow. Enjoy the game. Go Stros!

It's dead. If you are the home team in extra innings, with the new rule it makes no sense to not bunt since only one run is needed to win. Bunt the runner to third so you have lots of ways to score him with one out. The suicide squeeze comes into play here.. It also draws the infield in to make it easier for a ground ball to get through. There is no legitimate argument to not bunt in that situation. We lost one game last week, and, possibly two because no bunt was attempted. We need to do what is necessary to win the game without regard to bruising egos of players.

Worried about Brantley... And why Toro at DH? I'd like to see Straw get more ABs. Or even Stubbs...

Worried about Brantley... And why Toro at DH? I'd like to see Straw get more ABs. Or even Stubbs... The aspect about the Joe Kelly clown show that none of his worshippers mention is him trampling over Brantley’s foot. That likely has been the reason he’s been hurting.

Worried about Brantley... And why Toro at DH? I'd like to see Straw get more ABs. Or even Stubbs... I agree. Toro has not shown that he hits lefties. I'd go with Straw. Brantley still hobbling is a concern. He is a guy we can't afford to lose for any length of time.

If Correa stays healthy, he could have a great season.... It will be interesting what the Astros will do this upcoming off-season... With Springer, Yuli and Brantley all being free agents... Then next season will be Correa's last year of team control

Looking good so far. Jose needs two more hits. I'd prefer he go back to multiple hits rather than random solo HRs, but I'll take what we can get!
