Biden: I don’t respect blacks. Blacks: Sounds better than Trump. I see black people changing their attitude toward Trump. They just won’t say it because liberals want to physically fight. I don’t understand the term “liberal” these days because all they talk about is what you can’t do. Anyway, go Astros.

I'm not the least bit surprised the bullpen's gone to pot after Hinch got shitcanned From the moment he got here he had the relief core whipped into shape, and I fully expect him to do the same with the next club he catches on with
It should’ve been okay because Strom is a god and all. I wish you would explain why you continue taking shots at Strom, whose track record proves he is one of the top pitching coaches in the game.......I remember when we had an idiot named Doug Brocail pretending to coach pitchers. These young relievers are not all showing promise by accident. They are learning from somebody and my guess his name is Strom. We had no idea we would get what we are getting from Blelak, Javier, Taylor, Parades....

More black people will vote for Trump than anyone thinks. A lot of them won't say they plan to vote for Trump due to not wanting to get the ridicule from other blacks who are still dumb enough to think democrats are their friends. Biden has a long history of being a racist and it's a matter of record.

If the success can be attributed to him so can the failures. He’s great with starting pitching, but name a closer he’s worked with who has been greater under his tutelage. We’ve had Gregerson, Giles, Harris, Devenski, Osuna, etc. They neither improved much while here or became successful during their time here. Harris to me was the one legit “molded into success” reliever under Strom, but he didn’t take well into the closers’ role.

I didn't like them bringing in Sneed either, but Baker ain't the one only scoring 2 runs in 13 innings. The offense has to be more consistent, and they need some changes to their approach. We never seem to have a plan when we hit. Sometimes we take too much, sometimes we swing at the first pitch, sometimes we try to move a runner over, sometimes we swing so hard our whole body spins around.... I've said it before, I think our hitting coaches/advisors/metric guys are not very good. We've had some good offensive teams recently because we've had overwhelmingly good players that were good despite the coaching/support staff (and/or cheating?), but there is too much evidence of players leaving here and becoming very successful with new teams almost immediately. Where we tend to make pitchers better than their old teams; we don't do that for our hitters. Who is the last hitter that we developed that wasn't already good when we got them or promoted them? I'm with you on the hitting coaches. Either they are incompetent or the players tune them out. You asked how many hitters have improved since we got them.......I can't think of one, but, i can think of some who have gotten better once they were with another team.....JD Martinez and Ben Zobrist. I am sure there are others. What we do is improve some pitchers once Strom gets them.........Charlie Morton and Gerrit Cole to name a couple. Then, we foolishly let Morton walk. For all of the accolades handed to Altuve,. he is perhaps the worst situational hitter on the team. He seldom goes with the pitch and normally tries to pull every pitch. He is too impatient and some pitchers are finally realizing they don't have to throw strikes to get him out. How many times has he gotten himself out by swinging at the first pitch no matter where it was? We have a guy like Straw with blazing speed who never gets on base unless being used as a pinch runner. Why can't our hitting coaches teach him to hit line drives, ground balls, or to bunt instead of mostly hitting weak fly balls? Hitting was awful last night but there is no excuse for Baker bringing in Sneed to close the game. Castellanos had only pitched one inning and showed he could get out of trouble. Sneed hasn't shown he can do a damn thing besides give up runs. He was one pitch away from closing the game until he grooved an 0-2 pitch to Allen. Honestly, as soon as they said Sneed was coming in, I put the game in the loss column. Baker has allowed him to blow leads in the last two games. Yes, the hitting is weak right now, but, Dusty Baker is a pitiful excuse for a manager. For his career, Altuve hits better with men on base than when there isn't, but I think he tries too hard in pressure situations trying to hit HRs rather than just get a hit.

It's because Trump is the 1st GOP candidate in forever not afraid to call his opponent a racist when he's being a racist Republicans from before would just sit there and let the slur go answered It's no wonder African-Americans thought for decades that the GOP didn't care about them

But I better vote for Biden or else I ain’t black. Black people aren’t as diverse as Hispanics. Of course there's absolutely no diversity among white folks.

At the same time, I don't see why they have any faith in Sneed at all. I explained it the other day. Any time a player has a cute nickname or some enduring personality quirk (Yukon Cornelius, Devo and the dragon, "Doggy", "Ted", on and on and on), this team will run them out their until they die of old age, regardless of talent, just to feed the fans on the schlep.

I wonder why Strom hasn't magically fixed Devo, Sneed, Valdez, and James. Hmmmm.

I wonder why Strom hasn't magically fixed Devo, Sneed, Valdez, and James. Hmmmm. He has to have something to build on. Devo is horse shit as is Sneed. Valdez is coming around as shown in his last two games. He was outstanding against the Dodgers and today. James' problem is between his ears. There is hope for him because he has the tools. Strom can't think for him or the others. Strom's work with Morton and Cole prove what he can do when there is something to build on and Verlander gives Strom credit for helping him. Devo and Sneed are both garbage.

Same thing now......... many people who will vote for Trump won't say they are for several reasons. I doubt if there are enough idiots who will vote to elect Biden.

He either tips his pitches or something went haywire because he has sucked for the last three years. Best I recall he was so bad he was left out of the WS in 2017 snd he hasn't been much since.

He looks good now and the catchers say he has the best stuff on the staff because everything has movement. Josh James is a head case with good stuff. His stuff and his brain can't seem to get together.

After watching Valdez pitch this year; with the outstanding movement in his pitches, I'm becoming more of a believer in him... i agree. If he and Javier can continue the way they are going, our rotation won't be bad. I am not encouraged that Verlander will come back this season and I am not convinced McCullers is totally healthy. Pitching three perfect innings and then totally losing it throws up a red flag.

Pitching three perfect innings and then totally losing it throws up a red flag. They still haven’t recovered from that meltdown. At times, this team seems soft. When they get beaten down, they don’t come back quickly and return the favor. Too often, we see things like Oakland beating Cy Sneed and then the next day, the offense comes out even worse. Dusty needs to remind them who they are and that they should be no doormat for other teams or else the haters become more valid with their insults.

You can see Dusty moping around in the dugout looking bewildered. He has no enthusiasm. We need somebody to light a fire under them and Dusty isn't the type to do it. It needs to come from a Springer, Brantley, etc. Altuve is getting roasted in the media for his slow start and much is being said about his great hitting being directly connected to the sign stealing. Opposing players are getting lots of laughs at our expense while our "big guns" mope around like whipped puppies.
