He was a slack ass all year, making it look like he was the one who most needed to cheat.

He under-achieved as much or more than anyone we had. Altuve had a bad regular season, but, caught fire at the plate in the post-season. Bregman didn't do squat in the post-season to help us, especially in the ALCS.
We have three cornerstones to this team named Springer, Altuve, and Correa. We are going to lose two of them unless we pay them what they are worth to us.

He never was. Altuve and Springer have been the backbone of this team for years. Bregman is still very good and will bounce back, but he's not THE GUY yet.

I hope overpaying Bregman doesn't make Crane hesitate to pay George and Carlos what is necessary to keep them. Reddick's $13 million is off the books. Greinke's $37 million will be off after next season and so will Verlander's huge contract. We will have plenty of money to pay Correa at that time. Maybe we can give George the kind of contract we gave Bregman with most of the money coming later.
Bregman was AJ's son......that could be part of his problem.

Let's just remember though, Bregman had a solid regular season despite some hamstring issues, and he had a fantastic ALDS. He had horrible luck in the beginning of the ALCS and lost his confidence. He'll be fine next year.
He's just never been the postseason player that Altuve, Correa, and Springer have been.

I personally am just sick of this fool and his stupid swag disappearing when we need him most. He sits there and repeatedly takes outside strikes and disappears, namely in the ALCS. You repeatedly want to see more from him, and he trends in a reverse manner from Springer, who is a postseason beast.
If this kid does not learn to hit opposite field with authority, then he will become a waste of lucrative money.

Well, I see Bregman got one YES vote........we know who did it. If you are going to talk the talk, you have to walk the walk......Bregman stumbled and fell big time. If he hits to the opposite field, it's an accident. He takes pitches he should hit and gets behind in the count and then strikes out, pulls the ball into a DP, or pops up. His power stroke has disappeared. Maybe old Alex misses hearing them beat on the trash can.

The ball goes no where when he goes opposite field, which provides an easy target for pitchers - just throw way inside or anywhere outside. For any pitch, he will mainly pull the ball. Everyone else: Springer, Correa, Altuve, etc. have shown more ability to pound the ball to right and over the fence. He needs to start earning that 8-figure salary.

It is beginning to look like he is one who used the sign-stealing crap to get a big contract. He put up MVP type numbers last year and deserved it. I haven't forgotten anything. A guy can look like an MVP one year and look like crap the next. Sort of reminds me of when Richard Hidalgo hit 47 home runs and drove in well over 100 runs and MacLane gave him a big multi-million dollar deal and he turned to shit as soon as he got it. He was off the team in a little over a year......the Rangers cut him, and he was out of baseball. He was a one year flash in the pan. Bregman had MVP numbers last year.......not now. Yes, I advocated for him to be MVP last year. I got tired of Trout being handed the MVP when his team never does shit. An MVP leads his team to championships....not a sub .500 record which is where Trout leads the Angels. You can bet the media will try to give it to him again even though the Angels suck.

Since ‘17, he’s had one meaningful playoff moment. He needs to stop running his mouth on social media and learn how to be a complete hitter. Right now, it is apparent we overpaid him and now we wonder where the money will come from to keep George and Michael.

I don't like his attitude, but he is young, and he grew up in a different time than most of us.... I have been a Republican my whole life....but I have heard this saying: When you are young, you vote with your heart, Democrat....as you get older, you vote with your brain, Republican.

It’s not even about this regular season. He gets a pass for that because the season is so abbreviated, but it’s three straight postseasons of taking hittable pitches and disappearing in key moments. It’s typical that the only hits he had in the series were singles and with no one on base.

When the scamdemic is over and Bregman can just play baseball, he'll be OK. He is one who actually believed the crap.

Alex Bregman is a young liberal dumbass who is that way because he doesn't know any better. He'll wake up.

If anybody was Hinch's pet it was George. Their dynamic was well-reported. I heard Hinch refer to Bregman as being "like a son to me" more than once. If Hinch did have a pet, I can understand it being George over Alex because Hinch was smart enough to know that George was the MVP, the key to the offense, and sparked the team. When he was out, the offense suffered. But, from what I kept hearing Hinch say, I assumed Alex was his pet. George, Jose, and Carlos are the cornerstones of the team. Bregman is a key part who failed miserably in the post season.

They need power from him but most importantly the ability to drive in runs. How many runs did he drive in against the Rays?
