I don’t think they need to punish him with a day off but more like get him to chill out. Not punishment. He needs some time to refocus and relax. He's pressing and getting frustrated. He argued with the ump uncharacteristically yesterday too. |

The words “Gattis” and “grounder” are way too often in the same sentence. I wonder if they had him adjust his approach and swing path this off season. He is making more contact this year but as you say the net result seems to be weak ground ball contact. He is not hitting the high fastball like he used to either. |
