Dusty would’ve had Greinke pitch the whole game. Unless Zack told him I can't go anymore. Then it would've been RaleyDusty wouldn’t care. He’s “old school”.

We lost 4 games at home cause Verlander turned into a pumpkin and the bats couldn't hit the broad side of a barn Verlander aged 10 years when the postseason started. After Game 1 of the ALDS, he was unreliable. The bats were the worst thing about the postseason. For some reason, our hitters do not like Minute Maid Park. All the heartbreaking innings in Astros playoff history I remember were in the home park. Joe Sambito in 1981, Dave Smith in 1986 and Game 6 in 2004 are the only we were visitor team I can remember

You'll have to remind me the inning we were ahead and lost the lead in that one. There were plenty of Dierker playoff games we were behind the whole way
Ken Giles in Game 4 is an example I just remembered

Oh, I was bringing up a road game where they sucked. I was wrong, it was actually Game 4 of the ‘98 NLDS. The whole time I was like Sterling Hitchcock is neutralizing them? The second greatest offense in team history?

Oakland and Seattle begin a 3-game series in Seattle tonight. If Oakland takes 2 out of 3 the Astros can continue to dilly dally and back into the AL West title.

Frickin' Oakland, get swept by Seattle, then sweep us, now dying to Seattle again.

Mariners crush the A’s, 13-4. Now they’re 1.5 GB of the second wild card and just 1/2 back of the Jays.

Not a good sign, but, not really surprising. This team seldom sees anything wrong with having a few games of just showing up and going through the motions.

The Mariners are now 88-70 against an X-W/L of just 74-84. They've literally won 14 more games than they should of, considering how badly they get outscored on the whole. Just crazy.
If the A's had played .500 against the Mariners this season, they would be tied with the Yankees for the first Wild Card spot and just one win behind the Astros for the division. Instead they've gone 4-14 against Seattle and are going to miss the playoffs, barring a miracle.

Random question.
Is Maldonado signed for next year? I am tired of his non-existent bat in the lineup.

Random question. Is Maldonado signed for next year? I am tired of his non-existent bat in the lineup. I wish he wasn't such a risk at the plate, but, what he brings defensively and handling pitchers offsets it. He has proven his worth behind the plate time and again. It was never more evident than last night.

Maldonado is a backup catcher that we've made a starter. He's a bad overall player but our offense is, generally, good enough to overcome his God awfulness at the plate.
I wish Castro was getting more playing time again now that he's healthy.

Game was 7-0, Rays. They had my full support. The fans needed at least some entertainment.
