70-46
Sweeeeeeeep!
McCullers Jr. 9-3, 3.22 ERA Detmers 0-2, 10.61 ERA *Detmers is a young rookie so we have obviously never faced him. He has a 4-seam FB that tops at 94mph, a slider, curveball, and changeup. He was selected 10th overall in 2020.

With this pitching matchup, if things go as they should we should get a sweep unless Dusty puts one of his ridiculous lineups on the field. The A's are still hot so we need to be putting our best lineups on the field.

I wonder if Yuli will sit since he just came back off the IL.

We need to keep in mind that "Twitchy McMullet" is 9-3 with a 3.22 ERA, 128 K's in 109 IP, and the opponent batting average is lower against McMullet than any of our other starters.

He'd be doing more good in Haiti or Afghanistan than he has done for the Astros since 2019.

That’s how it’s always been. The bomb would be Lance's fault. If the throwing error would have ended the inning, all runs scored after that can be traced back to the bad throw. Altuve or any other player who made an error that extended the inning has to assume most of the blame if runs score after the error. The only run Lance or any other pitcher would be responsible for is the one produced by the home run. All others are the fault of the player who made the error.

It will be interesting to see how Myers does this next week.

Something tells me we are about to see Meyers and McCormick battling it out for the regular CF job. I heard more than one guy on MLB network say that Meyers, instead of McCormick, was the reason the Astros were comfortable trading Straw. Having guys competing for jobs usually produces good results. Having Meyers will also allow us to rest the other three from time to time.

It will be interesting to see how Myers does this next week. From what I saw, the Royals aren't blessed with good starting pitching to run out there against us. We can't label Meyers as "can't miss" just yet. He has to show consistency. But, I can see why both he and McCormick were rated higher than Straw.

Texas has taken an early lead vs. Oakland. 3-1. They are doing it against Manaea. The rookie, Peters, took him into the upper deck in left center.

Scoreless 1st. Astros went down easy in the top of the inning. Angels didn’t make solid contact but they made LMJ work and throw 20 pitches.

Walk the bases loaded to face Ohtani - probably not the best strategy.

We keep getting nothing from Carlos and Jose. That will change.

No, it’s Lance’s fault regardless of what preceded the home run, Matlock.

The more Correa sucks balls, the closer I am to jumping off the bandwagon.
