The only shot they had was that throw home. It’s over.

After tonight’s game 19 of the Astros remaining 34 games are against teams with losing records. With that schedule I’m not sure this team will be able to hold onto lead in the AL West.

We will be fine, my friend. We have several key pieces coming back soon. A stud at 3b, stud in rf and a very good starting pitcher. Be positive. Go Stros!

Brantley is tired. 10 days on the IL would do him some good.

Too many starters in the lineup right now to be this mediocre. Let’s hope you’re right.

Brantley is tired. 10 days on the IL would do him some good. That may have been the worst AB I’ve seen from him in a month.

Yimi, not impressive so far. I am beginning to wonder why we traded a good prospect for him.

No matter the situation, it's swing from the heels........no hitting behind a runner, no attempt to bunt....nothing. Brantley is a weak ground ball waiting to happen right now. We need the return of Kyle Tucker asap. He is dealing with a virus. We need Bregman back in a hurry. Breggie IS a virus..........We need Tucker back much worse.........he hits.

Even if this team falls to the wild card and gets in, they can’t be serious about bringing Dusty back. He’s got the keys to a Ferrari and isn’t doing any maintenance.

I like Jake Meyers, but Click lost in this Straw trade.

If he was worth a damn as a manager, this team would not be losing so many games to the weakest teams. The Royals have taken them to school on situational hitting. They get runners on and concentrate on just getting hits......the Astros go for home runs on every swing. They get two out hits to score runs. We can't get hits with RISP. It is obvious that Michael needs a day off. If McCormick can swing a bat and Tucker isn't ready, play Chas and rest Michael. Two of Click's new relievers have coughed up 5 runs tonight. Maton threw BP.

Smh If you are going to seriously keep defending this old fool, you need to stop and take a good look at what he is doing. He is blowing games to horse shit teams. But, he will have good excuses ready for the post-game. He'll sit them and stammer around like the dumbass that he is.

These losses to bottom feeding teams are not in any way the fault of Dusty. The players are supposed to be professional athletes. Dusty shouldn’t have to take them by the hand and explain to them that they must show up at the ballpark ready to play ball. Truth is when they are scheduled to play a sub-.500 team they do not come to the ballpark ready to play. That is on the players.

I like Jake Meyers, but Click lost in this Straw trade. HIs deal for Yimi isn't looking much better. The last time Maton pitched, he was lights out for two innings. Tonight, he sucked. I haven't been impressed with Yimi at all. We may have lost the Straw trade, but, Jake Meyers is a better overall player than Straw, especially offensively.

Breggie and Kyle Tucker are supposed to both be re-evaluated tomorrow. Hopefully, both are ready to come back. We need Tucker's bat in the lineup so we can give Brantley a day or two off.
Little Breggie went 3-5 for the Skeeters tonight with NO booboos reported.

Truth is when they are scheduled to play a sub-.500 team they do not come to the ballpark ready to play. That is on the players. It is Dusty's job to chew some ass when needed instead of making excuses for them. They go through the motions against these bottom feeders. Where is the leadership from our veteran players? Dusty can't swing the bats for them and shouldn't have to get them ready to play. This team needs one or two of the veterans to have the balls to stand up in the clubhouse and light a fire under them. They are embarrassing themselves against these pitiful teams. We have now blown 4 out of 5 to KC. We lost a season series to the Tigers and Twins. We have been swept by the Rockies, Rangers, and Orioles. There is no excuse for this crap. The way they play is on the players.......sitting around doing nothing to try and change it is on Dusty and his so-called team leaders.

The truth is right now, they’re not a good team regardless of the opponents’ record. The only thing they’re good at right now is beating up on division rivals, but you can’t say they can beat these post-deadline A’s. It’s not on Dusty until there needs to be pitching changes, and half the time he puts the wrong guy in while coddling Graveman and Pressly.

He is forced to keep Brantley in there instead of giving him a rest due to Chas' wrist problem and whatever it is with Tucker. I don't know what the coaches do, but, we are terrible at situational hitting and our baserunning is awful. Some coaches need to be held accountable.

We’re talking about a runner up MVP (should’ve won).
