Correcting that swing is why we pay hitting coaches. What about correcting the inability to throw strikes by our relievers? Corch is quick to presume the coaches aren't doing their jobs

I'm for promoting Espada if Dusty's shown the door. The team didn't respond well last season when someone from outside became the new manager I would support Espada after Dusty gets his ring this fall. If Dusty won a ring, I hope he immediately checks in to an old folks home. But not in a blue state. ZING |

Except for Strom We have one of the top pitching coaches in the game...our current and former pitchers will attest to that. What he did with Morton and Cole is strong evidence. What he is doing with Luis Garcia, Framber Valdez, and Urquidy is more proof. He has work to do with guys like Javier and Abreu. We could only hope that our hitting coaches were half as valuable to this team as Brent Strom. |

Except for Strom Precisely. Damn right. When you show me that Strom is not a good pitching coach and Centron and Snitker are doing their jobs, I'll say I'm wrong. It is evident that Strom is a top pitching coach. Show me any evidence that Centron and Snitker are worth their salaries. Pitchers who come here improve........Hitters who LEAVE here suddenly become good, productive hitters. We trade Teoscar Hernandez and he becomes an All Star in Toronto. Stassi starts hitting in LA. Kemp improves his hitting in Oakland. Pitchers come here and get better under Strom......Hitters get away from Centron and Snitker and do better. LOL |
