Sal took a four game hiatus on homers after that five game streak. He's back in the saddle again, hitting two on Saturday and another one on Sunday.
His total for the season is now 41. That puts him second in MLB with Ohtani at 43.

Sal Perez hit another one into the seats on Wednesday. That brings his total for the season up to 42. Just one behind the MLB leader - Shohei Ohtani.
In other news, he's leading MLB in RBI with 104.

What did they do to him when they fixed his elbow in 2019?
Pre-2019:
.266/.297/.442 .739 OPS 98 OPS+
Post-2019:
.285/.322/.563 .884 OPS 132 OPS+
He went from "good for a catcher" to "great for anyone"!

What did they do to him when they fixed his elbow in 2019? What they did to him was make him watch for an entire year without playing. I reckon that caused him to reassess his career. Then he decided all those Gold Gloves weren't good enough and he wanted to not only be an elite defensive catcher but also a great hitter. And he put in the work to make it happen. At least that's my take on it.

We need to have Bregman have the procedure to regain his power.

Ironic that Corch has not advocated for Correa for not being the unanimous AL MVP winenr; since by his own criteria of the player must be on playoff team, Carlos should be the top candidate.

Why would you even consider him as an option? I believe I said Salvador OR Vlad Jr. I originally said I'd give it Vlad Jr. and I stick by it, although I'd rather see it go to Kyle Tucker, who has better numbers than Ohtani or Vlad Jr. since May 2. Ohtani has hit around .220 since the AS break and closed out the season going 19-79 over the last month, yet people are still handing him the MVP. As some sportscasters said on both mlb network and ESPN, if Ohtani is going to get the award, the name should be changed to Player of the Year since his numbers actually meant nothing in determining his value to his team which would not have moved one spot in the standing with or without him. He is getting the award because he plays in a major market in LA , and, because he also pitches. A DH/P combo who finishes hitting .257 on a 4th place team is being handed the MVP. LMAO He is the darling of the media.......that's it. Going strictly by HR, RBI, BA, and OPS, Vlad Jr. wins it over Ohtani hands down........but, he plays in Canada not in LA.

No Vlad Jr No Ohtani No Perez Corch's AL MVP candidates should be Correa Bogaerts Judge Tucker

And how valuable is Vladito if his team couldn’t even get to the postseason? They had a chance on the last day.......the Angels have been out of the race for months. I don't mind if all the rest of you want to buy into the media hype that Ohtani is the MVP. That is your right. Your criteria for determining the winner is different from mine. We have ridden this horse to death........Ohtani put up great individual numbers, but, led his team to nothing. His overall numbers are not as good as Vlad's. He is a DH who doesn't play defense. If we want to give the award to a guy who was actually valuable to his team and led them to a title, we'd give it Tucker, Correa, or a member of the Rays like Brandon Lowe. Feel free to keep thinking Ohtani is the MVP.......Player of the Year maybe.......but no MVP MVP's lead their teams to a winning season.

No Vlad Jr No Ohtani No Perez Corch's AL MVP candidates should be Correa Bogaerts Judge Tucker I'd go with that group over a DH who hit less than .260 and actually hit around .220 after the AS break. I would take one from among Correa, Bogaers, Judge, or Tucker over the other three. I'd take any mentioned over Ohtani for reasons mentioned above. He sucked after the break. The media started handing him the award when the season was barely two months old. He was also an inconsistent pitcher. The Astros hammered him the last time we saw him.

come on y'all .. Kyle Tucker for MVP I would vote for him. Over the long haul, he has been a much better hitter than Ohtani and his team won the division. Tucker has been "valuable" to the Astros. Ohtani didn't improve the Angels at all. They sucked without him and they still suck with him.
