Crawford a two run shot off a Taylor hanging slider and it's 8-4 Mariners........Our bullpen looks like a disaster.

Like I said Astros Relief Pitchers will be the cause of them not winning in the Post Season

Like I said Astros Relief Pitchers will be the cause of them not winning in the Post Season That wpuld be a huge part of the reason if we don't win in the post season. The other would be the moron with Baker Jr. on the back of his shirt not knowing how to use them.

The bullpen never does well when they're called in early. This is totally expected.

The worst move was bringing Maton in to give up a two run double that tied. Dusty had announced on Sunday that Pressly had a sore arm yet he uses him two days in a row 48 hours later.

Can Bregman hit a Grand Slam being the 1st AB in the inning?

Bregman homer followed by two weak fly balls and a popup. Again we managed to figure out a way not to get a sweep that was there for the taking. The bullpen coughed it up. If Pressly had done his job, Bregman's homer would have been a walk off.
I sort of understood wanting to give Alex a partial day off. But, since Yordan has looked terrible the last couple of game, why not let Alex DH against the lefty they started and let Marwin play third. He should have kept Bregman's bat in the game, but, this is standard procedure for this idiot.....Meyers had a big game Monday, so he sits on Tuesday. Bregman had the big game last night, so he sat today. Anyone who still defends the decisions of the idiot managing this team has unresolved issues. LOL
I missed the first five innings due to an appointment with my podiatrist. I kind of wish I had missed all of it. LOL

Actually really wasn't that bad, but the bullpen just doesn't have it together.....When Bielak turns out to be by far the best reliever out of 6 relievers used that day, then it was a bad day.

Astros next 14 games are against sub-.500 teams. Hopefully they can hang onto their lead in the AL West until they get to Oakland.

Maton sucks. I know it's early but that trade is a bust. Definitely looking bad ATM, but Maton still has upside and several years of control, and I like Yanier Diaz a lot. Could look better in the future. I still think we should have gotten more for Straw though. Upside and $8.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I don't think anyone doubts that this team will make the playoffs. With 23 games left, they could easily go 13-10 and finish with 94 wins. That's not great, but to tie that Oakland would have to go 20-4 and Seattle would need 18-4. So yes, barring something incredible from both the Astros and one of those teams, we're in.
But you can't help watching this team and feeling like it won't matter. Click brought in four relievers. One is elite, one has been injured, and the other two very inconsistent. They haven't been able to call up a single reliver who has been consistent. The rotation is full of guys who have question marks (LMJ prone to command problems, Greinke not the same as he once was, Garcia young and way past his previous total pitch count, Urquidy coming off injury, Odorizzi...yeah). And then the offense seems to go cold frequently, even against mediocre competition.
Anything can happen in October, but it would be hard to bet on this team right now.

This team has no killer instinct at all. They constantly have “send a message” games and lose.

If Pressly has a sore arm, he needs to be shut down for awhile instead of going back out there. His pitches didn't look that good today. Rest him a few days and let Graveman close. Raley actually was the best of the relievers today.

Some would say playing that damn Gonzalez today and taking playing time away from "more deserving players" like Robel Garcia or Jacob Wilson was pure bullshit. But, that damn Gonzalez hit a two run homer. I'm sure the awesome Robel or Jacob, whose playing time Marwin is stealing, would have done that or better. LOL LOL

We better catch fire and stay hot for the next 50 days or it don’t mean nuthin-not a thing
