We could be watching a historically good season right now. Still a ways to go, but its an amazing start. He should be undefeated to go along with that 1.05 ERA.

He's currently 1st in:
WHIP ERA ERA+ IP Batters Faced Hits/9
His 377 ERA+ 1.05 ERA and WHIP are on pace to be better than Bob Gibson's record-breaking 1968 season. (Albeit, in what will be at least 50-70 less innings of work if he pitches a full season.)

I literally love Justin Verlander.

Also, currently on pace for 36 starts and 302 K!
.....but only an 18-7 record.

He will give up 3-4 runs one of these days and you'll want to send him to Corpus.

You're unfamiliar with Sherwin, I see.

I literally love Justin Verlander. I literally love José Altuve too. Even when he annoys me. He’s our little guy.

It's easy to see why Detroit fans liked him so much. He's got some fire (but not obnoxiously so), he's durable, consistent, and you can see that he's a guy other guys want to be around/follow.
I doubt he'll get to 300 Wins, but he reach 250 if he stays healthy, and 3000 Ks is certainly within his reach. Pretty cool that he should get his 200th win as an Astro. We haven't had many of those. (Just Nolan and Niekro?)

I loved Hinch keeping Verlander in to face Cozart when a homer would’ve meant a loss. That’s a great manager/starter dynamic there.

I want to see extended version of that in slower motion with some type of sound effect. I bet Ashitaka could do it. Speaking of which, why isn't he here?
