So who gets the day off today? I’m thinking Bregman and Tucker.

We start the night 4.5 games up on the White Sox. They lost to the Tigers 5-3 this afternoon.
I like the pitching matchup with Urquidy going for us. Don't be surprised to see Bregman with a night off.

So who gets the day off today? I’m thinking Bregman and Tucker. I agree on Bregman. He could rest Tucker with a lefty pitching for them. But, Tucker and Yordan both hit left-handers so Tucker could DH again. If Dusty does as he tends to do, he'll start Castro against the lefty. LOL

If Tucker is still experiencing pain in his right shoulder, there is no reason to not give him a day off.

I think I would go with Diaz in place of Bregman at 3B; Chas, Meyers and Siri in the outfield, and Yordan at DH.
That said, I would not be surprised to see Yordan in LF again tonight.

That all makes sense. Chas, Meyers, and Siri is a better defensive OF than having Yordan out there. He will either be in LF or DH. I think Marwin or Diaz gives Bregman the night off, and, I lean toward Diaz.

Well it's a lefty pitcher, so Castro will likely start....

Well it's a lefty pitcher, so Castro will likely start.... I thought so, too. But, Maldonado is in there. Chas and Bregman out of the lineup. Diaz at 3B. Tucker is DH again. Meyers in CF.

Altuve is hitting some solid balls to right and center. He's about to bust out on a hit streak.

Went a little too long with Urquidy tonight. When he hit the wall, he hit it hard. The night off did Altuve a lot of good. He looked good tonight as did Diaz.

Went a little too long with Urquidy tonight. Just a little. The Lagares single was on a four-seamer at the very top of the zone. That's a pitcher's pitch so tip your hat to Legares on that one. Wong's fly out was on a changeup that was totally center cut. Definitely a mistake pitch. But it came after three perfectly located pitches. All three should have been called strikes. Two were. The very next pitch was also sorta fat. A hanging curve. Ohtani singled. Right about there in a close game you'd probably pull the pitcher. But with a 10-1 lead, you have the luxury of giving him a chance to clean up his own mess and maybe even get a QS. After the mound visit, he threw a slider at the top of the zone to Gosselin. Maybe a strike, maybe not. It was called a ball. The next slider was a fat cookie. Kaboom.

They need to go 7-3 vs the ChiSox, Royals and Twins. Can they do it?
