Keep your fingers crossed. Lance didn't sound like he thought it was anything to worry about.

Wow, Rays and Brewers both eliminated by lesser teams. You could actually see a Boston vs. Atlanta World Series. Crazy.

The 3-run job by Jose in the ninth was poetic…and not the first time he’s come through while being mercilessly jeered. There is something special about him and about this team.
My hope is that they don’t fall into scoring 1-2 runs a game again like they usually do after being an offensive dynamo for a week.

Biggest playoff mystery this week? Why does this White Sux fan have his finger stuck up that snake's ass?

Celebrating 5 consecutive NLCS trips....
In my self imposed 2 year vacation of anything baseaball, one thing was evident and unescapable as a bystander. The Astros for right or wrong became the whipping boys of MLB. The merits of their misdeeds will be discussed for decades to come, but at some point there will be no current players or owner (hopefully) either who had any involvment in this rancid affair. But from my POV what I am seeing of 95% of fans of other teams, I have come to conclusion that those 95% are pieces of shit, and want to pin this on us fans in perpetuity.
The best thing the current and future 3-5 year team members need to do, is do exactly what they did yesterday. Smear their accusations in their faces. The latest idiotic player was a AAA+ Sox reliever who is hopefully just one of the upcoming crop that you have to make pay for their stupid jock statements. Even in my disdain for Altuve, and his alleged leadership role in this scandal, I yelled in approval when he smashed that 9th inning homer yesterday. Black out? hell yeah buddy, when he was rounding the bases, I thought my TV had went to half mute. Any team 10 miles away from Wrigley is rancid by just the Flub stench alone.
Another point of contention is that what I have heard since, is that cheating was so ubiquitous in MLB, that Houston has pretty much been singled out for the entire sins of this wretched sport. But the hypocricy of fans of other teams just weighs on me like a gut punch. One thing is for certain, I sure am never going to ever have any empathy for any other team's misfortune.
But back to the celebration, that has pretty much been ignored by the media. It can't be overlooked that the team has assembled a historically outstanding team that now seems to be in its twilight. Loses in elite pitching, Correa, Springer, and a depleted farm will finally bring this franchise back to earth. So more than anything, I am really hoping this crew can pull off the WS win, so we as fans can massively and collectively give the middle finger to the rest of the fans of the other teams..... They can stick their chants and boos up their ass until their team visits the LCS 5 times consecutively.
<Rant Over>

LaRussa's idiotic hypocritical claims of "character deficiencies " are a text book example of psycholgical Deflection. Rather than deal with Chicago's scorn of how he handled the playoffs, just blame who just kicked your ass. I am guessing that he might think his job is on the line.

Almost a year ago we discussed how Altuve needed to find a way to take the jeers and channel them into his athletic ability like Robinson and other greats have done. Hard to disagree that's what he's done with his bat and glove this year

I think it’s fine to criticize Dusty for a move here and there, but hurling insults at him ad nauseam is pointless. There’s a Facebook group I’m part of that uses Dusty as a punching bag 24/7.

Dusty was never going to make or break this team, imo. I don't think he helps most games, but I also don't think he hurts things as much as people complain. His bullpen usage hasn't been good, but he also hasn't been given much of a bullpen to work with. That being said, bring on Espada in 2022.

I hope this is wrong but this guy I follow on Twitter personally knows McCullers and has interviewed him on his podcast before. Sounds like LMJ could be out for the Red Sox series and potentially the rest of the playoffs.

Red Sox pitching is bad so we could feasibly get past them without LMJ, but not the Dodgers or Giants IMO.

The highlight of yesterday's game was his 3 run homer in the 9th after their classless fans cheered when Rodon hit him.

Sounds like LMJ could be out for the Red Sox series and potentially the rest of the playoffs. So far, we have seen no statement from the Astros regarding McCullers or Meyers. We don't need to lose either of them, but, losing McCullers would be much worse. We have McCormick to replace Meyers, if necessary. I don't pay much attention to anything I see on social media about these matters.

I think we may be in for a really rough Thursday morning. Whenever anyone has an MRI and it's clean, they announce that within a few hours and everyone move on. The fact that it's been a whole day with zip from the team is deeply concerning. This usually happens when there's a problem and they get second opinions, discuss options, call replacements up, etc. I'd be stunned if McCullers isn't out for at least the ALCS, and very possibly the WS too if we get there.

This team has had rotten luck since ‘17. They had the wind taken out of their sails in ‘18 with that dumb Benintendi catch. They couldn’t win a WS home game in ‘19 because Hinch went to his BFF Harris instead of Cole. They had a turncoat snitch on the team who smiled for the cameras with his WS ring. They were shut down by Morton last season. Verlander was unavailable this year and probably for the rest of his Astros career, and now they have possibly lost their ace for the year.
Not cool, not cool.
