Dusty, do the team a favor. Stop having your least confident player batting 3rd. Move Bregman to the 7-spot. Move Yuli up a notch and have Tucker bat 3rd. Enough of this ‘giving a struggling player confidence’ nonsense. You want your best hitter having more AB’s.
Also, stop starting Maldonado. He’s a garbage hitter and when he gets on, he also clogs up the bases. It’s a lose-lose.

I was in a bad mood yesterday due to sleep deprivation and a dog with diarrhea. I expect Altuve, Bregman, and Correa to turn things around today.
Urquidy will give us strong 6 innings.

I see through your fake optimism but we’ll be okay. Something will light a fire in them. Maybe it’ll be Morton’s injury.

Eduardo Pérez thinks Framber may have been tipping his pitches, which would make sense as to why the hitters were killing him yesterday. This makes sense but why couldn’t we do that to Morton?

Even though I called you hand solo, I told my wife I didn't have a good feeling about yesterday's game. Astros need to win today, andget some momentum going into the games 3,4,5 in Atlanta.

I think they'll bounce back strong today. I think there was an adrenaline surge going into the game and then they all kind of crashed when the early lead happened and then couldn't get going. It felt like the two blowouts to Boston in Games 2 and 3. I expect a strong rebound from the offense.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for any of that to happen. I know I know… I’m hoping Dusty’s gamble with Bregman will pay off like it did with Springer, but he didn’t suck for as long before his ‘17 breakout. Maldonado is the only regular position player on the Astros with a worse postseason OBP than Altuve. Jose does have 3 home runs though. Right now he is not concerned with making contact and getting on base. He is going for the home run with every swing. That is not the batter you need in the #1 slot. Maldonado is the only regular position player on the Astros with a worse postseason OPS than Bregman. Bregman is not the batter you need in the #3 slot. Kyle Tucker is the best all-around hitter on the team. He is also an excellent base runner. He is the guy who should be getting the most opportunities hit..., not Altuve. I would like to see Tucker in the #1 slot. Maldonado is the worst batter on the team in every category. I would like to see this batting order: Tucker Brantley Gurriel Alvarez Correa Altuve Bregman McCormick Castro

Regular season vs LHP: BA- Altuve .278, Tucker .286 OPS- Altuve .790, Tucker .910 Postseason vs LHP: BA- Altuve .182, Tucker .200 OPS- Altuve .630, Tucker .717

Altuve’s solo home run swings don’t help if you’re down two or more. Bat him somewhere it doesn’t matter if he walks.

Trying to be positive here, the last time our leadoff hitter went 0-for in Game 1 of the WS, he went on to be the WS MVP and we won.
Springer 2017: 0-4 4 Ks (Astros win WS) Springer 2019: 2-3 (Astros lose WS) Altuve 2020: 0-5 3 Ks (Astros ----- WS)
