Did not know that Maton's full name was Phillip Louis Maton III. Dude is French royalty, it seems. He has pitched like royalty for us in this series.

Bregman finally had a good AB and doubled in a run before going back to hitting popups. Maldonado with a Sac Fly, a bases loaded walk to tie the game before Marwin came off the bench to drive in the winning runs. Then, Maldonado added another RBI single to make it 8-5. Yuli and Carlos both had three hits. Overall, Dusty's change in the lineup worked. I just hope he leaves it this way for game 6. It will good to get home where the weather won't be a factor and we have our fans instead of listening to that chant and seeing the tomahawk chop.
Once again, our bullpen was lights out. No runs for the Braves after Freeman's home run off Valdez in the third.

Greinke's pinch-hit single was the first pinch base-hit by a pitcher in the World Series since 1923.

I don't know what Dusty will do, but, I don't like the idea of starting Luis Garcia on three days rest. Urquidy only threw 14 pitches tonight so I'd start him. We can beat Fried again, and, that would give us Luis on 4 days rest for a game 7. Butl we have to use anyone needed to win game 6. I think we are in pretty good shape, especially if Yordan wakes up. He is as lost as a blind dog in a meat market.

The Fox crew said Dusty told them after the game that he will start Luis Garcia on three days rest in game 6. Seems like it would make more sense to go with Urquidy in game 6 since he only threw 14 pitches tonight and use Garcia in game 7. He is asking Luis to go on three days rest after throwing 72 pitches. He is the LAST one of our starters who should start on short rest.

If I was forced to guess who had the record, I'd figure it was Marichal. Did it say who had the record before.

Fox sucks in the Homerism In round 1 we had to put up with Frank Thomas, Round 2, Big Crappi, and now Smoltz and his munchkin Buck. Seriously thinking about putting on Astros radio while the game is on TV.

They made a big deal of Maddux and Chipper Jones being in the seats like we gave a shit.

Glad we got the series back to Houston. The bats and bullpen will need to stay hot. It will be hard to imagine getting anything stellar out of whomever starts game 6 and 7, if we make it to a game 7. However, I would love to be proved wrong. If Garcia pitches Tuesday, please prove me wrong and give us another ALCS Game 6 performance!

In a regular season scenario, where long term wear and tear come into play, I'd agree 100%. But this is for the WS, and it should be all hands on deck. There is plenty of offseason to rest and recuperate. Crusty needs to send out anybody and everybody who has anything left in the tank. There are only 18 innings left for the 13 ptichers we have.

(Yeah, I know... could say the same about bad ass Charlie F'n Clutch)

I didn't watch a lot of the game, but I see Bregman and Correa woke up a little. I still don't expect much at this point, but at least they got it back to Houston.

I don't understand why he won't start Urquidy in game 6 and have Garcia for game 7 on full rest. Starting him on short rest is more than a little risky. Urquidy only threw 14 pitches last night so he should be ready to go. Dusty has handled the pitching well in this series, but, this sounds like a mistake.

If we just want somebody that can make a little contact for a single, I think they have to consider Greinke. We got too many guys that take too big of swings.

It will be good to be able to put our best defensive OF out there. Yordan did us no favors in LF and he is lost at the plate. He needs a shot of confidence before game 6. I'd go with Siri in CF. He's seen Fried before and Chas has looked awful.

I don't know, Chas is hitting .261 with a .333 OBP in the postseason, while Siri is hitting .167 with a .167 OBP (and one of those was hits a perfectly placed that didn't make it out of the infield grass. It probably doesn't matter a ton either way, but I'd prefer Chas.
