Hunter Brown's last outing prior to the trade deadline: 4.2 IP, 1 ER, 5 H, 2 BB, 5 K
Mushinski contributed 1.1 shutout innings, striking out two.

Forget trading for a catcher, just call Diaz up. Good plan.

I have seen his name pop up in online trade rumors. I want to keep him and Brown. I rather keep him than Lee.... And I'm hoping against hope, because Lee was drafted in the first round, there is extra value associated to him... That obviously the potential and ceiling are there, he just needs a COS.

I don't know why I'm surprised that you all are already giving up on Lee when he's played in fewer games than Olpapa has.

I don't know why I'm surprised that you all are already giving up on Lee when he's played in fewer games than Olpapa has. I mean he was drafted high. The read upon him is that he is a defensive player with pop in his bat. But overall he is not a very good hitter. I guess I am tired of the Astros not having a good hitting catcher. So I am more Team Diaz.

I don't know why I'm surprised that you all are already giving up on Lee when he's played in fewer games than Olpapa has. We should be giving up on Maldy. He’s 35 in a walk year and can’t come close to .200. As bad as that is, he never bunts runners over.

Justin Dirden got on base FIVE times tonight (4-for-4, BB, 3 singles, and a homer). He has hit .509 over his last 13 games.

With all the hype Whitley got from the beginning, his fall to earth has made him quite the bust. I wish him well but will go back to forgetting he’s on our farm. I think we can finally call it. This guy is the biggest draft bust in franchise history. Crash Davis had him pegged....... Million Dollar Arm in a 5 cent head.

Brady Aiken was the #1 overall pick, didn't sign, and his arm blew up immediately afterwards. Heck at least Appel eventually made it with the Phillies. Even Whitley has made it to AAA at least. How about Max Sapp? Played three years in A-ball before retiring and nearly dying from meningitis.

Astros took Alex Bregman with #2 pick in 2015 draft. Now it comes down to Appel or Whitley.

The genius of Luhnow was that he called the Aiken injury, which was why he lowballed him on the offer. He scoffed and chose not to sign, blew out his arm, and we got Bregman.

I'm sure Aiken wished that he had a time machine, and took the $5 million. Thank God Aiken's hot tub doesn't have that option.

It ultimately working out well for us doesn't mean he isn't the biggest bust of all our first round picks ever.

I don't know why I'm surprised that you all are already giving up on Lee when he's played in fewer games than Olpapa has. Not me. I think Lee should be our backup the rest of the year. They need to be resting Maldonado more now if they think we need him for the postseason.
