If the Indians get to Keuchel early, we have a problem. I can remember a couple of times when we got to Kluber, but, not often. I think we do better against him in Cleveland than in Houston. After last night, Francona is going to stay out of that bullpen as long as possible.  |

The key to getting to Kluber is if his breaking ball isn't there. When he has it and painting the corners it could be a long night. Except for Altuve. If it's over the plate and not a foot off, he'll hit it. |

Springer RF Bregman 3B Altuve 2B Correa SS Gonzalez LF Gurriel 1B Gattis DH Stassi C Kemp CF Gattis over Davis (who has a .406 OBP this year and has been better against righties than lefties in his brief career)... Marwin and Springer have had a lot of success against Kluber on the plus side. However Altuve, Bregman, Gattis, Kemp, and Gurriel have not done well against him.... Honestly, I'd let Gattis catch today and Davis DH. I don't think Stassi can hit Kluber. He's 1-3. |

The Mariners just traded for OF Denard Span. He was on our watch list for an Astros trade. Guess I can remove him from the list now.

What the f*** was George thinking? I have to admit, when he got to first, I was 90% sure he'd take too big of a lead and get picked off at the bag. Turns out, he gets caught in no man's land. Same difference. Yesterday it was Marisnick. Today it's Springer. These baserunning brainfarts are not acceptable on a championship team. Kluber had thrown 11 pitches without recording an out. A promising start to a game that is set up to be a war of attrition. Then Springer does his usual baserunning nonsense and Altuve looks like a minor leaguer to end the inning.  |
