Severino vs. Framber
Keep it going, Framber!
Might be time to give Montero a night off, Dusty.

This season feels so much like 2018, up to and including going 4-0 in our first four playoff games. It's time to avenge what happened that October

What's nice to see from the fans is the treatment of Altuve. Judge has had a similar (although not quite as bad) go in the postseason this year, and yet, despite having a historic MVP season, his fans are booing him at home and complaining about him on social media.
Whereas in Houston, it's been mostly nothing but support for Altuve. Sure, some people are saying maybe we should move him down in the order, etc. But nothing like the NY fans and Judge. And tonight, when he gets his first hit, I expect he'll get a huge cheer from the crowd.

Look for a multi-hit game from Altuve tonight. Also, if Framber gives us his usual QS I feel good about winning this one as well. Go Stros!

I want to give a big kudos to Gurriel. I've never been a huge fan of his due to his (mostly) mediocre OBP and power for a 1B. I was also super hard on him this year (outside of his glovework). But all that being said, he is looking great this postseason and is making me question whether he shouldn't still have another year as our primary 1B. He's hitting the ball hard again (and not just on the ground), and just looks more confident. Not to mention that if he hits, it makes our lineup that much deeper. If only Mancini or Diaz would start hitting at DH (or Hensley got a chance)...

And to the Chas haters, in his first 40 postseason plate appearances now:
.305 AVG and a .385 OBP
And for this postseason alone:
.400/.500/.700

Severino
Career Away Games: 23-15 3.31 ERA Against Houston: 2-3 3.82 ERA In MMP: 1-2 3.22 ERA
Severino is a really good pitcher. I think he's a little undervalued pitching behind Cole (and now Cortes), but he's easily the equivalent of a Framber or a health McCullers. This will be a more even pitching matchup for sure.

On the plus side if they start Mancini, he has excellent career numbers against Severino:
.353/.389/.529 with a 1 HR in 17 AB

Although I'm not sure if we should use both of our longer inning relief guys in the same game unless we go to extra innings. Urquidy is essentially a long reliever on this roster, too. With the off day you can have either Garcia or Javier go in game 4, JV and Framber both go on full rest in games 5 and 6, and then figure out game 7 if it comes to that (probably LMJ on one day less rest than normal, with everybody else but Framber and JV available).

It might be worth it for him to try and bunt for a hit in his first at bat.

Everyone wants him to break out contrary to what you may think. Not Yankee fans. No kidding. Yankees fans think he is the worst thing to ever happen to the MLB, while turning their head at the history of their former closer sitting out the playoffs in Miami.
