It's Cole vs. somebody but we don't know for sure yet. I still kind of like Cole, Kermit voice and all, but I hope we beat the sh*t out of him tomorrow.
I full expect this series to go at least 5 games. I highly doubt we can beat both Cole and Cortes in NYC, but you never know!

If there's a game five, does Verlander pitch?

I think you throw JV in Game 5 if necessary, yes. Try to shut it down there and get some rest for the WS.

So based on previous the previous outcomes of all 7-games series, we have an 84% chance of progressing to the WS.

I highly doubt we can beat both Cole and Cortes in NYC, but you never know! Oh ye of little faith. Highly doubt? Really? Some doubt, sure. Cole's a damned good pitcher. But the last time the Astros faced Cole in Yankee Stadium, Cole took the loss and Javier took the win. So it can be done and history proves it possible. I'd call the Yankees a slight favorite to win the game. But if the Astros remain focused and on-point they can win it. Go Astros!!!

Just to keep adding to this thread.
Say the Astros re-signed Verlander, would you be opposed to them trading away Urquidy and Meyers to the Royals for Michael Taylor (CF) and Barlow (reliever)? Would the Astros have to sweeten this deal?

It would be hard to believe that they wouldn't take at least one of those games. I mean these games have been close already.

You don't hear much press coverage on Click as compared to Jeff's run as the GM. The team has similar success so you wonder what the under the table issues are. The only thing I would think is Dusty's old school to the modern day analytics.

It’s funny how things have changed. Earlier this year I was ready to move on from Yuli and Dusty. Now I would welcome them both back happily.

And to clarify, I never thought Dusty did a bad job throughout the season. However, just felt ready to move on to a younger new school manager. Dusty has done a fantastic job this year and he is doing great in the playoffs.

Any way to deny Cole a trip to the WS would be great, and what a better team to do it than the Houston Astros.

Dusty is having a great postseason so far. I'd still rather move on, personally. I won't be upset if he's still here, but I'd like somebody that handles our younger players better.

It's the starting guys who manage things more in our clubhouse than others I'm willing to bet cause of all the All-Stars. I'd like Hensley to start at 2B Saturday and leadoff just cause I think it's gonna be awfully tough for Tuve going into that environment with Cole and all the hate. But he'd have to take himself out of the lineup for Dusty to accede so I'm not gonna call Dusty a dumbass if it doesn't happen

He's never had a problem performing at Yankee Stadium, and he can't possibly hear any worse there than he already has. It's going to be a tough matchup for all of them. In fact I'd even leave Maldonado as catcher. Vazquez has not played well there, and I think McCullers will work better with Maldonado in a hostile environment. The only change I'd make is having Hensley DH over Diaz. Diaz is absolutely killing us up there (like Altuve), but the difference is that Altuve has a track record of success to give us hope....Diaz does not.

Let Tuve get his head straight and be available to PH

If you remember last season the early series in NY. The stros were on the verge of being swept and Jose tomahawked a pitch for a three run homer. I really believe he will come up big.

Plus, then you have to move the lineup around and I really don't want them messing with Pena, Bregman, or Gurriel when we just got them all hot again.

It's odd that Yuli hit .300 in the regular season last year and disappointed postseason, and now Altuve's doing the same. Or maybe it's relatable

I don't hate it, but I just can't see benching a future HoFer when he has shown signs the last couple games of coming out of it.

Click is gone, not sure of the reasons but basically part of it has to do with Baker perhaps coming back. Baker will want to come back if we fail to win the World Series, he may still want to come back even if we do win. My first choice to replace Click would be Eve Rosenbaum.
