The Yankees weren't supposed to be easy. Too many missed chances. Too many missed chances for the bullpen too recently, but not getting insurance runs proved costly. |

Rondon had only thrown 10 pitches. He could and should have started the inning. ....and the walk and Gardner homer ties it. Yet another example of a manager violating the, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” principle. Why the hell can’t a pitcher pitch the 8th and 9th innings? Is there some law against it in the sabermetrics bible? |
