But there were plenty of opportunities earlier as well. They scored six runs. The pitching failed them this time more than the offense in the 10th inning. Even Abreu gave up an oppo crush job to the tracks against a lefty. It's going to happen sometimes. More so, it was just soft contact and a miss strike call that did Hunter Brown in too early. |

Hensley didn't need to bunt. He just needed to hit the ball to the right side like he had been doing. That being said, if we're relying on a rookie utility guy to make the key play, our All-stars have failed. My wife, who is a veery casual fan of the game, said "so this dude hit the ball to exactly the last place he should have hit it" |

Why one inning from Blanco, who is specifically supposed to be a 2-3 inning guy? That forced Dusty to then try to get a second-straight inning from Neris with the ghost runner out there. Sometimes Dusty's management feels so seat-of-his-pants. Usually it's the rotation failing to go deep in games that puts pressure on the bullpen. The manager and the lineup not having any pop are the primary culprits so far this season |
