Well, so far you can predict how the offense would mostly be by the lineup. The better lineups have ended up as wins with 6 runs each game. The weaker lineups have averaged 2.5 runs each game.

If Julks is the best current OF option we have in the minors, then Brown has some work cut out for him. I think Julks is the best option that they don't care about getting consistent playing time. I have to believe that Dirden will be up this year to take over more often if Julks and Meyers don't show more and Brantley isn't healthy. Dirden didn't have good success in a small sample size in AAA last year, so I imagine they want him to get a little more seasoning while playing every day there. |

I want to complain about Dubon and Maldonado both being in the lineup at the same time so that we're effectively giving the team 6-10 free outs...but they've both been more effective than Bregman so far.
Was it his rookie year he started 0-20 something before he got his first hit? I hope he isn't trying to break that streak.

In fact, I'd go as far to say that his lack of hitting is the difference in at least one of the losses so far. |

It doesn't surprise me we're struggling to get extra-base hits. There were stretches last year the bats disappointed in a similar fashion, and we didn't exactly load-up offensively in the offseason
