Last ten days the bullpen is 18th in team WHIP and 19th in ERA. Hope they can win it if handed the lead

Abreu, Stanek, and Montero have all been less than adequate lately. Roll with Maton, Neris, and Pressly late for now.

I like Hensley and still think he can be a significant piece, but I think it's time to let him get some consistent work with the AAA club. He's striking out like a fiend and his plate discipline has always been his strong suit. With Bregman and Abreu both looking hopeless right now, you need to do everything you can to ensure that the other spots in the lineup are populated by people who have a prayer. Can't have half the lineup struggling to stay above the Mendoza Line.
The problem is we have no depth on the infield. It's Dubon and Hensley. After them...Joe Perez? Rylan Bannon? J.J. Matijevic? Bligh Madris? Yikes.
Brantley alone can't save us. Even when Altuve gets back, you have to get something out of Bregman and Abreu, especially since Maldonado could hit literally zero for the rest of the way and still start five times a week.

I love Bregman and all, but his disappearing act has been largely ignored due to media and fan favoritism. He’s not being paid to stand there like Ensberg and just draw walks. With his speed, that doesn’t do much for the offense.

Another day of Astros baseball. Incorrect plate calls and bad hitting.

At least Bregman gets on base while slumping and his defense is good.

There's gonna be a lot of pressure on Brantley and Altuve to jolt the lineup when they come back, even though it's more favorable to ease guys in healing after injuries

Abreu signing was a mistake. Geez. I’m really hoping this isn’t the case, but I mean he’s got to come a long way to earn his $19.5 million salary.

Way to battle, Bielak. Sorry that literally everyone else let you down in another pathetic showing by the offense and coaching...and now the defense and a f*fcking balk.
