Like I said, I don't get fans and greatness when it comes to managers. For years I heard folks say Melvin is one of the best; he just had a dearth of talent in Oakland. Now he supposedly has all this talent in San Diego and he's still middling at .500 |

They basically cut costs to grease the wheels to Vegas. |

Sherwin and I are on an endless quest to find one person who can quantify why Espada is going to be some spectacular manager (other than "he's just gonna be great!!" or "It's his turn!!"). Everything we didn't like about Baker probably became evident for each of us after the first six weeks he became manager. He's been our manager a long time since then; and to the extent we all complained about those things, Dusty (being crusty and set in his ways) it was unrealistic to expect him to change.
The way I see it we can go two ways regarding his replacement. Someone crusty like Girardi, Hurdle or I don't know Gardenhire or some shit who's racked up a lot of wins (and because of that) will probably do things that remind us of Dusty.
Or someone with little to minimal experience who's less likely to be like him. Fans who brag their pick for manager is best aren't being realistic about how much that buys wins though

Espada would probably be a good fit for manager here cause he's been around our guys a while and knows what motivates them to play better. But since he doesn't have any experience, I get why he hasn't been hired by someone else
