I know one answer though I don't unstand Dusty's logic in not pinch hitting for him in late innings when they are a run or two down. Right on Cue Maldonado strikes out.

Defensive whiz and veteran game-caller at his finest.
Dusty said that having a rookie catcher and a rookie pitcher wasn't a good idea. Yet Brown is a whole run better when Diaz catches.
