Not going to let 2 70 year old mfers ruin this forum by acting like 11 year old girls. Are Sherwin, Batman, and I the youngest people here? How are so many of you oldies even allowed to use the computer lab in the nursing home so often? Not to mention staying up late enough to watch the west coast games. I resemble that remark. But I get to choose going to bed at 6 so I can get up to watch a 9pm start... |

Actually, penniless hipsters have been headed to Oakland, I heard. It’s probably more diverse now. San Francisco is pretty, but it’s not a practical place to live unless you’re rich and/or ghey. Oakland is right next door. I've only been to LA and northern California. I have no interest in going back really. LA is pretty much like Houston. I mean Hollywood is cool and all for about a minute, but it’s overall an okay city. |

If I may interject, In this case I we all value the input of both posters, PA and Coach. Once the smoke clears, I think you guys are more alike than different, Age and Especially since you are both BIG ASTROS FANS. I understand forum friction. IF Ghick was here, I'd be tempted to be at war with him. But even in his case, I think would choose the high road, and basically ignore.
I really would hate seeing either one of you leave the forum, so I propose a truce, and ask that if you want to,,,,,,,,, agree just to ignore each other, and not post to each other. I think you both can co-exist here and enjoy the festivities.
What do you think?

I don't want anyone to leave. We worked hard to round everyone up. But this petty horseshit has got to go. It's the simplest thing in the world to just ignore a member, or just move on with your life and not comment to the person you despise. I'd think grown ass men could handle that.

Over the years you should know my personality by now, I think all of the regulars that have been on here for years can get a good reading on each of us. In the next month and a half I will be working with some all star teams and going to Florida, don't look at it that I am claiming sour grapes and not posting here. There is a small core die hard fans that have posted here. I will say this one more time, I broke my promise to myself not to correspond to this individual, in a way call me stupid. |

On the old board, I found my ignore list was inversely proportional to my tolerance level. As I became less tolerant, my ignore list grew. It was up to about a dozen at one point. Then I would chill and take them off ignore and see which ones I could tolerate as I settled down. It would usually wind up with 2-4 at that point. Now, I guess I've stopped caring and haven't ignored anyone...yet, since I've been on this board.
I wouldn't want anyone to leave since I was booted off the old board for no apparent reason and missed it.
ps I still can't post a response comment on MLB.

She actually gets sent on fancy schmancy business trips. She's in Oakland this week. Your post reminds me....back in the ‘80s and ‘90s my wife made a lot of business trips for the company she was employed with at that time. She was scheduled to be at a function of some kind in San Francisco at the time the earthquake hit during the 1989 World Series. She had her airline reservation booked and was ready to go, but the trip was cancelled a week or so before it was supposed to take place. Had the trip not been cancelled my wife would have been in SF during that earthquake. |

I honestly don’t see how anyone can take anything seriously on an internet message board. I have never once put anyone on ignore, and I, along with some of you, have been through some of the worst trolls ever. Only Housedesk/Hogcard and Tom Petty have ever got me considering using the ignore button, but I never did.
It amazes me that so called grown men and women throw such a fit when someone disagrees with them or throws a little shade their way. Again, you’re corresponding with strangers whom you’ve never met, so why get so offended when they know absolutely nothing about you?
Anyway, hope this post doesn’t make some of you snowflakes melt.
I’m 12 BTW.

Am I the only One in Here that could give two Sxits what Keuchel had to say after that terrible performance on the last outing. The Only thing an Athlete or Movie Star type person I want to hear is how great their next movie or their Performance on the Feild.
Even if they agree with my Ideals it doesn't matter as they are no better than I am.
Talk about Terror my Wife Was Working in a Building Next Door just about the WTC on 9-11. Not being able to get in touch for hours and hours with the cell service down.
I once got into a fight on MLB Astros boards with a Muslim that said I insulted his Wife when I made reference to the WTC and how I felt about Muslim Terrorism.
