ROFL good luck to Dana Brown on getting a taker for Montero. You can always find a scrub team to take on a bad 1-2 year contract in exchange for prospects. That's what it will be. Montero and an actual prospect or two for a scrub. What better way to cap off one of the stupidest contracts in franchise history? Any rumblings today? |

Hopefully he hasn’t done anything yet because he’s working on a blockbuster for Guerrero or Alonso. I like Alonso even less than Guerrero. Too bad Walker’s team is in the hunt. What don't you like about Alonzo and Guerrero? |

Seeing a lot of simmering stuff on Jack Flaherty coming to Houston. He could actually be the right fit in this market. As much as I’d like to get a Guerrero or Alonzo he would fill our #1 need (SP).

What don't you like about Alonzo and Guerrero? I can see the Jays trading Guerrero, but I bet Alonzo stays in NY. You are spot on about the Polar Bear, the Mets just overtook the Braves for second place. They are all in All they have to do is acquire Neris and they pulled the hat trick. |

We need 2 guys who can eat innings and keep us in games. I’d part with Montero + 2 prospects (not any of our top guys) for a solid, back end rotation guy. I think you misunderstood. When I say a "scrub" I mean someone with no real value. Montero is a scrub making a lot of money. We would give up prospects for the benefit of having another scrub who is NOT making money. You're not going to get anything of value out of a Montero trade. Whoever takes him is on the hook for him next year as well. The only thing of real value we would get back is payroll space. Unless Dana can find someone who thinks they can fix a pitcher even the Astros can't. |

That would be a nice get; he's kind of a poor man's Framber and is under contract for next year at less than $10 million cap hit. |

The optimist in me wants to agree with you but I just don't have nearly as much confidence in Singleton as an Alonzo or Guererro pushing us to a World Series. |

Yes! I have followed Fedde since his college days at UNLV (My college as well). He is under the radar and could really become dominant around this team imo. Charlie Morton 2.0?

One of the prospects the Yankees gave the Marlins reminds me of Altuve. Jared Serna, he is a 2b listed at 5'7".

Why does it seem like the Astros are one of the last teams to make a deal at the trade deadline all the time? That is just maddening while hoping to read the team got some real help.
