That looked like the Marwin WS bomb. IKR? He's only hit there on his spray chart like .. twiceThat is something I didn't realize. On one Yankees broadcast a few games ago, DiDi finally broke out of his slump with a two homer game and they mentioned spray charts and said he never hit a homer to left or left center.

Back-to-back 5 RBI games, simply badass Gattis turned things around promptly after AJ was quoted in a article (I think it was on mlb.com) as saying the team needed more production out of the DH and that if Gattis wanted to continue to get at-bats at DH, he was going to have to produce more. The light went on in his little noggin somewhere. Quite an impressive turn around. Now if somehow ole Jake can flip two or three switches on maybe we can avoid giving up the farm to put the crooked numbers up there every night.

I think I'll start another Jake Marisnick appreciation thread. I know Bortaz would approve. This post is the epitome of Astros fandom. Especially when it comes to Joke from Suck Farm.

Over the past 14 days, Astros starting pitching has been about no. 20 to no. 21 in MLB by FIP and xFIP. It doesn't seem to matter so much when the team is hitting, though. Batting lines last 14 days (min. 45 PAs)
Springer .333/.464/.600 Altuve .340/.404/.426 Gattis .279/.304/.721 Gurriel .391/.404/.543 Bregman .267/.340/.556

What a turn around. I honestly did not believe in him.... I don’t think many, if any, on the board did believe in him....except sempersmom and like most mom’s she believes in her boys, regardless. An employee who is not doing his/her job needs to be reminded that the employee has responsibilities...what those responsibilities are...what management’s expectations are.., and what the repercussions will be if the employee continues to fail to fulfill his/her responsibilities and, in so doing, fails to meet management’s expectations. I am not talking about an ass chewing. I don’t believe many people respond positively to an ass chewing...some do, but most don’t. I am talking about a calm talk in which the manager reminds the employee of his/her responsibilities; explains calmly and clearly how the employee is failing to meet management’s expectations; informs the employee clearly what the employee must do in the future to meet management’s expectations and informs the employee what the consequences will be if the employee continues to fail to meet management’s expectations. This is what Hinch did. Gattis responded well. Had he not, I believe Hinch/Luhnow would have replaced him.

This team is really starting to come together now, with the postseason seeming to come down to the Astros plus NYY, BOS, and CLE. Of course maybe a Cinderella team gets in there and makes waves, who knows, but right now the AL is looking pretty dominant over the NL and the AL has 4 predominant teams. The contenders will be making their fine tunings for the postseason during July-September so hopefully the Astros do at least as good a job of that as the competition. A quality reliver ad good outfielder in trade and a minor league promotion for utility infielder might be all this team needs to take on Yankees & Red Sox and whoever else comes along.

jake definitley resides at Suck Farm, but, Keuchel is moving in. Keuchel is not moving into Suck Farm...He will turn it around.... I hope you are right. Maybe he will start his turnaround in KC. If he is as bad or worse than he was in Arlington, I hope they take him out of the rotation and put McHugh in his spot.
