That AB aside, Marwin is up to a 109 OPS+ this season. Him and Gattis have come a long way.

I wish I understood WHY a DH needs a rest, especially when he is the AL player of the week and the hottest hitter on the team. Hinch decides to rest Gattis and DH George Springer, who is in a slump. In typical fashion, we come home from the best road trip in our history and stop hitting. We have consistenly done this all year..Hit on the road....come home and stink up the place. You can't expect great pitching every night, but, he is getting no rest between innings because we can't do anything offensively. Legitimate complaint there.

That AB aside, Marwin is up to a 109 OPS+ this season. Him and Gattis have come a long way. It's an amazingly deep lineup, and might be getting better after July 31. All Astros hitters have a wRC+ over 100 except for McCann and Marisnick. McCann is here to stay for the season; Marisnick I'm not so sure.

In today's game, had Springer been given the off day (which I totally support), Kemp would have made a great leadoff hitter. He often hit leadoff for Fresno and his first AB today showed how he may well have gotten on base to start the 1st.

Astros are about due for that HR.

I'd be favor in Kemp leading off. He has good ABs and gets on base well so far. Move Springer to cleanup.

Marisnick I'm not so sure. AJs probably concerned with resting guys after all the innings last October .. hence all the Jake starts. Whether he's being overly concerned is debatable

If Andriese is on a 50-pitch count, Cash is gonna have to stretch somebody out to get to the end here

Nice play, Breg. If he could do those and not make the dumb easy errors...

Cole is rolling now. I'd be tempted to let him start the 7th.

Glad that Adames swung. It was a great pitch but would have been called a ball the way this ump's strike zone has been. So much better for Cole to end the night with a strikeout than a walk.

If he hadn't stopped, could he have made it home??? Maybe but not worth the risk to lead off the inning.

If he hadn't stopped, could he have made it home??? I don't want to think about that if he gets stranded

If Correa was prepared to swing at that BS, he might as well have bunted.

Correa's career K% is around 21% I think... this year he is approaching 24%. The walks are up a little too but his plate discipline is heading in the wrong direction.
