LMAO.... My first job out of high school was working at a burger joint. The number one lesson even 45 years later that I learned is that its not a great idea to let teenage strangers prepare your food. (Unless you can watch them make it) Thus my preferences. I learned from my friends who worked at fast food places, if you are the argumentative type, you go inside to place your order and stay watching around the counter....i had a girlfriend in college (something you should never have) would get in battles when placing the order at the drive through, I would just tell them at the end - cancel the order...and drive away.  |

I got my first (real)job the day I turned 16 working for a very successful Der Weinerschnitzel. In fact, it was the highest grossing outside of California. I learned a lot from Wayne Townsend about owner/management of both the store and financial matters facing entrepreneurs.

Hi all! I used to occasionally post in the old mlb.com forum a loooong time ago. I was originally astrostar1, then changed to BillyStrikeout back when Bill Hall was K'ing it up left and right. By that point, I mostly just became a reader and perused here and there up until the site disappeared. Happy to see the community continue!
