we can see now that the Playoff teams will load up with LH pitching. They are absolutely at their worse facing LH pitching. They need to learn how to hit LH pitching. They’re hitting .277 vs. lefties. .258 vs. righties. Thanks for the correction |

Hinch still thinks this is last year Marwin and passes up a chance to tie it. Sick of Players not producing and looking like it's okay that I didn't get those runs in.

For what it's worth, Marwin is hitting .189 in 2-out RISP situations this year.
Danny Valencia, a potential replacement/upgrade for Marwin, is hitting .278 in those situations with 5 RBIs, 2 doubles, and a walk this year.
For Jed Lowrie, the BA is .462 with a HR; and for Jose Abreu, it's .450 with a HR.

Will someone tell me what has happened to Springer? I know he was an up and down kind of hitter and usually had longer ups than down. At this point, he is getting into territory that even Jake didn't approach. Three more Strikeouts today and still no hits. Looks like the day off yesterday didn't do him any good.

Another possible trade target, Nick Castellanos, is hitting .333 in 2-out, RISP situations with 3 HRs for an OPS of .985. That is in 43 such PAs.
For Granderson it's .235 and for Moustakas it's .346 with a HR.
Just thinking of who might replace Marwin on the active roster if Luhnow decides to go that route and doesn't opt for an internal upgrade.
